Realization

"Well, if you guys don't feel like doing that, I guess we should stop," Rias said shrugging her shoulders.

"Ojou-sama!" Grayfia hastily spoke up, because there might not be another chance, but then she stopped realising something.

"I see, at least one of you is interested," Rias smiled as Grayfia shook her head.

'How did I get caught up in something ...so simple,' In fact, Grayfia knew why that happened, 'I really have no other choice at this moment.'

Rias understanding Grayfia's thoughts turned to Adam, "Could it be that you don't like the idea of doing it with Grayfia." She purposefully asked the question in this way because of what he had said before.

"What gave you that idea?" Adam said with the most serious expression he could muster, there was no way he would think that.

"I see, so those are your real thoughts," Rias snorted and…

"You see, this is what I meant earlier…." Adam's shoulders slumped because of what type of energy he had given just now.

'I mean, I will still say it if asked again,' Adam was interested in Grayfia from the start, it was just that he hadn't acted on it, and neither did she make a move on her own like Akeno.

'She seemed interested in me as well,' But Adam was too preoccupied with things at that time, 'Also it could be that she wanted to approach me because of this. but how did she know about it?' There were still unanswered questions but...

"I was just kidding, but aren't you two on the same page now?" Rias shrugged accomplishing what she wanted, and this brought Adam out of his thoughts.

"I would still not be so certain about that," Adam shook his head because, "My willingness aside what about Grayfia's thoughts? Does she know?" he was asking about the contract.

"…We forgot to tell you about that," At this moment, Rias sighed and looked at Grayfia, she could say that but it would be better if Grayfia did it.

'I suppose it would be better for me to say it after all,' Grayfia knew that it would hold more meaning and she wasn't going to let Rias do anymore as, 'Ojou-sama has already done more than enough.' Which is why she met Adam's eyes and got ready to speak.

"I have already heard about the price, and I do not have anything against it," Grayfia stated calmly but her heart was racing, "But if Adam-sama doesn't want me, I would understand your decision." And her intentions aside, Adam was still engaged to Rias.

'I wouldn't have any way to change his mind,' That is why if he really didn't want to do this with her, she would understand it, and then accept it once and for all.

"So, please make your decision with your happiness in mind," And more importantly, Grayfia still didn't want to get in the way of this newly formed couple.

"Well ...you heard her," Rias said and Adam sighed, both of them had agreed, so it would be weird if he continued to drag this on.

"This is kind of my job, so it would be weird if I said no," Adam shook his head since it was about time he got used to this, this job was one of the ways he could get closer to his dream. No matter how much he complained about it, he knew that without this, he didn't even have a chance at reaching his current position.

'Not to mention, Rias gave the green flag as well,' Right now there was nothing that should stop Adam from running towards his dream at full speed.

"So, Grayfia tell me your wish, and if it is within my means. I will make sure it is realized," Adam looked at Grayfia with a small smile and spoke truthfully.

'So, he talks to all the customers the same way,' Rias thought looking at Adam's mannerisms changing. He had indeed talked to her the same way at first, 'but I like the way he talks normally. It is kind of silly but also cute.' And this just made her smile sweetly as she remembered how different he was with her.

"What I want is to bring my family back to life," Grayfia didn't waste any more time, in fear that the two in front of her might change their minds.

It was a helpless worry that came with how ridiculous this situation turned out to be, she was still half expecting it to be a joke, which is why she just wanted to get her words out before it was revealed.

If she could get back her family then it would be alright, 'For now, I'll think about everything else later,' Grayfia had resolved herself for what was to come without looking the other way.

"So, you want to bring your mother and father back?" Adam's question caused Grayfia to come out of her mind.

But there was something she wanted to add because Adam got something wrong, it was just that she didn't think much of it.

"My younger brother as well," Grayfia was so absorbed in her wish, that she didn't even notice that Adam already knew who she needed to bring back.

But her correction was unneeded since he wasn't wrong at all.

"But your brother is alive, you don't need to bring him back to life," Adam was confused for a second, but that went away as soon as he saw Grayfia's face.

"Adam-sama….. what?" Grayfia seemed the most confused out of them all because, "My brother is….Alive?"

She had already presumed him to be dead because there had been no news on him since the Civil War. And it was only natural for her to be surprised by this news because of her previous information.

"So, you didn't know?" Adam concluded.

'Her hands are shaking,' Adam could understand Grayfia's feeling, 'She must be really relieved but also incredibly pissed.'

And he was correct, 'Why didn't he come back after so long?' Grayfia was famous enough to have her name known throughout the supernatural world as the Strongest Queen, 'He must have a reason for that, could it be that he is trapped?' Grayfia knew that this thought wasn't farfetched so she calmed down instantly.

Even she narrowly escaped being captured by the Old Satan faction thanks to Sirzechs's interference. And if she was caught, the treatment that she would've been subjected to was…

'She's angry….' Rias shuddered slightly seeing a thin layer of ice forming over the room. It was a rare sight since Grayfia seldom lost her temper, but when that happened.... 'I really feel sorry for the person who will be on the receiving end of this.'

Rias knew that Grayfia's anger was rare but it was just as terrifying, she had learned under her alongside Akeno, who was trained to be the perfect Queen for her. That is why they knew that they could do anything but make the Strongest Queen angry, because even the Lucifer of the Underworld trembled when subjected to her wrath.

'Just how bad it is for her to get angry?' Rias still couldn't help but think about it, while Adam was watching this calmly.

He was waiting and the moment he was waiting for came quickly.

"Adam-sama ...would you please take me to the place my brother is at?" Grayfia said reigning her previous magic power back in, "And I apologize for the unsightly display." She knew more than anyone how much of a problem it was for her to lose her cool, and yet she still couldn't stop herself at that moment.

'For so many years….' But it wasn't like this was for nothing, '…I assumed that you passed away.' She had been doing nothing but twiddling her thumbs just accepting that her brother had passed on without any solid evidence.

"I don't think it was unsightly at all," Adam shook his head as Grayfia turned her red eyes to his small smile, the way these two thought about her outburst was different, "That was perfectly natural, after all, we are talking about your brother here."

"…I thank you for your ...understanding," Grayfia looked down with a small smile of her own, those words did help her to get her thoughts in order.

'I should focus on taking my brother back at this moment, I should leave the anger for when I find out what happened,' Grayfia took her position as the Maid in the Gremory Clan seriously, and then there was her position as the Queen of Sirzechs Lucifer's peerage.

He was the new Lucifer who assumed the position after the Old Satan Faction was defeated, and her family was part of the Old Satan Faction, they were the biggest supporters of the previous Lucifer, and completely loyal to them.

And because of that, along with her current position, she understood why…

'…I stopped looking for Euclid all this time,'
