42 – He Said What?

During the week, Alan continued to train his magic and build the propeller. He and Celia also chatted with Haruna to make the kunoichi take her mind off the pain. They know a lot about her because of that, from her favorite food, ramen, to her strange hobby of collecting bottle caps and even about her love life.

"So, like me, you also never dated anyone?" Celia raised an eyebrow after hearing Haruna's statement. "A girl as pretty as you?"

"Yeah," Haruna answered while squeezing her chest. She was no longer screaming or writhing in pain. Alan and Celia knew it wasn't that her pain had lessened, but she endured it. Maybe a chat like this is also helpful. "My father is a terrible drunk who left my mother when I was little. Then my older sister dated the person who abused her."

"Do you think all men are the same?"

"Nope." The kunoichi glanced at Alan, who was finishing up the cockpit. "It's just I prefer a nice man."

"I see." Celia noticed the direction Haruna was looking at but didn't comment on it.

The kunoichi continued. "Then what about you? A girl as attractive as you must attract a lot of men's attention, right? Why the hell are you still a virgin?"

The female fighter grimaced. "I used to be very shy… And when men approached me, I ran away…. Everything changed when I started working. I became more trained to communicate, not only on the Internet. My co-workers also helped me get out of it."

"You are a shy person?" Alan checked his work, something that looked like a car dashboard with a steering wheel and a seat. Everything is made of wood and some metal. "I don't consider someone who has an excessive desire to show her bottom to the world to be a shy person."

Haruna covered her mouth to hold back the laughter.

Celia looked up. "Alan, have you ever had Ophiopagus Hannah in your ear?"

Alan and Haruna were silent for a moment before asking in unison. "Huh?"

"It will definitely hurt. That thing is the king cobra, you know?" Celia babbled.

"So, you're going to hurt me with a punishment equivalent to putting a king cobra in my ear." Alan massaged his forehead. He then chose to speak to the wyvern instead. "That's enough, Brunch. You don't have to push it anymore."

The beast then flew and landed next to Alan. Seeing that Brunch's face was showing sadness, the young mage stroked that wyvern's head.

"We're still going to need you." he smiled.

Alan sat in the driver's seat, took a deep breath, and pulled the lever on the dashboard. With a racing heart due to high anticipation, he stepped on the accelerator.

The steering system used in this world is actually different. They used a lever to make the propeller spin. Alan wanted to make the cockpit like the one in the car, so he would be more familiar with driving it.

"Come on." Alan clicked his tongue because the propeller didn't turn even though he had stepped on the accelerator many times.

Celia and Haruna looked at that man nervously.

The young mage then pushed the lever back, then pulled it again. After he stepped on the accelerator again, a soft whir sounded. The propeller at the back of the land rotates.

"Yeah!" Alan clenched his fists in joy as the land began to move forward. "We did it!"

Celia was jumping for joy. However, she did it too high, then landed on her ass.

"Are you all right?" Haruna grimaced, looking at Celia, curled up on the ground clutching her butt.

Alan focused on driving, not knowing what was happening. As time passed, the scenery on either side of him became blurry, and the wind hitting his face grew stronger.

"Let's go!!!" Right after Alan screamed again, the sound of something snapping came out of the propeller, bringing it to a halt. "Ah…."

Alan looked at the steering wheel for a few seconds, then got up from the driver's seat. "Well, it's still the first try, after all."

Brunch pushed the land back happily.

"What the hell?" Alan frowned when he found Celia bent down, still holding her buttocks. "What happened to you?"

While grimacing in pain, she answered. "I still haven't mastered a good landing."

***

It was near noon when they saw what they were looking for: two twin mountains. The emerald forest is an area of dense trees surrounding those natural structures.

"Let's do it, Brunch," Alan gave the order to the wyvern. "Remember, don't push this land too low, or we'll run into monsters. After that, you bring this place back to a safe height. The alarm will ring if I need help."

Brunch looked at the small wooden box under the wooden booth, then moved to the middle of the land. That creature flaps her wings while pushing that land down with both hands.

Celia slapped her cheeks, then took the bags and her spear. Meanwhile, Alan lowered a rope tied to a peg.

"I can't prevent you guys from leaving, can I?" Haruna looked at the roof of the wooden booth. "At least be careful, guys."

"Take it easy." Alan received his backpack from Celia. "I'll heal you so you can wear that kunoichi outfit again."

Haruna laughed, then used her signature seductress sigh. "As I thought, you like it, oh Al."

Celia looked up again. "You know that the bottom of that thing can't be called a skirt, right? I don't even know how to describe it. If that thing flaps, her loincloth will be exposed. That loincloth barely covers…. You know… The thing."

"I'm sure that Haruna shaved it." Alan started to climb down the rope after Brunch stopped pushing the land.

Celia's eyes widened. She looked at Haruna, who just smiled and shrugged.

"Hey, can you elaborate on what you just said!?" Celia hurriedly went down the rope. "Did you see my pubic hair when I was wearing that bikini armor, and you didn't see Haruna's?"

"Focus on the mission, Celia." Alan held back a laugh. He didn't really mean it. His eyes were not observant enough to notice those girls' private parts.
