Chapter 05: First Ability and a Dangerous fight

As I watched the two fight I made a plan in my head to ambush the one who would win. "I know my plan is genius". Now the lizard caught the head of the snake and bit it off. Know that the lizard won I wanted to directly charge at him but he seemed to be a smart one. He didn't eat his prey immediately he pulled the snake away a few steps and under a big root which now kinda looked like a cave made out of wood. The place where the snake was defeated was now out of his eyesight. And there I saw a dazzling scale lying on the floor. It was still covered in blood from the previous fight. I sneaked closer to it and ate it. "I know that sounds crazy but in novels, I read that you sometimes get abilities if you eat apart from another animal/monster". And just like in those novels it was like this here as well.

New ability:

(Common)Defensive scales lvl.1

As I saw the message I got dizzy immediately and soon after I fell asleep. After an unknown time I awoke and looked around me scared that there would be a monster trying to eat me. But as it seems I was only passed out for a short amount of time. As I looked down my body I looked down my body and now I was about 65 centimeters or 26.6 inches and I had beautiful scales. As I looked at my HP it now was:

Hp: 30/30 (+10 Hp because of ability (Common)Defensive scales lvl.1, regenerates slower than normal Hp)

"Wow, I got 30 HP now. I think I know what I am gonna do next." I had a crazy idea on my mind I guess you already know what it is. Right, I want to kill the lizard.

I silently slithered over to the Lizard and looked at what he was doing. He was still eating the snake he killed before. "I mean it's a big snake." I silently got behind him. And then I attacked. I aimed for his throat and hit I bit him right where I wanted to but that didn't bring him down. After that, he immediately reacted and punched me away with his tale. Now I only had 25 HP left. This time I attacked his throat from the side but he held me down with his foot. That brought me to 23 HP. After he stepped on me I reacted fast and bit his foot he screamed. It seems like he hit a nerve in his foot because he tensed up. I reacted fast and got to his throat a second time and bit as deep as I could. He fell to the ground as all his Hp was drained. I also fell to the ground exhausted. I looked a my system page and saw that my strength went up by two and my agility by one as well as everything else except Mana and luck and there were three massages:

I looked over my status and was pretty proud. Sadly the lizard had already eaten almost everything of the snake he killed before so I could only eat the big lizard it took some time but he was eaten in the end. I stayed in the little wooden cave and pressed the button for leveling up.

Also, I made some changes to the system window and abilities and the overall status you can check in the third chapter if you want to.
