449 Prisoner: Kaido & Big Mom

However, Whitebeard was always concerned about the situation on the battlefield.

A designated crew member reported to him, and when he learned that several commanders and captains were injured, Whitebeard felt conflicted. He wasn't sure if his decision was the right one.

"Grandpa, Marine is so arrogant. I will organize forces to help you immediately," Momonosuke said to Whitebeard.

He is now the actual ruler of Wano. Although the founding ceremony hasn't been held yet, everyone already considers it a reality.

Momonosuke wanted to help Whitebeard and didn't like the Marines who always claimed to be righteous. If they were truly righteous, why didn't they act when Kaido was causing havoc in Wano?

Why did they come after Whitebeard now, after he cleaned up Wano? This made Momonosuke feel that the Marines were very hypocritical.

On the other hand, Momonosuke felt it was his duty to avenge the injured captains.

"Guurarara, you little guy, it's not your turn to worry about me. Do you think I can't handle this? I'm just concerned that the crew might become arrogant, so I need Marine to polish them," Whitebeard laughed.

"Oh, I see. So that's why you didn't join the fight. But without your power, who will fight those powerful Marines?" Momonosuke asked.

"Before I show up, those powerful Marines probably won't take action. If my crew can't handle the remaining Marines, then I'll lead them to the Grand Line from the New World," Whitebeard said helplessly.

Whitebeard also had other intentions. Momonosuke would become the ruler of Wano and, eventually, join the World Government as one of its member states, gradually becoming involved in the political arena.

Whitebeard believed that to completely change the world, one needs more than just understanding the historical texts and the truth of the world. It also requires grasping the political arena and not relying solely on violence to overthrow the existing rule.

Violence alone can overthrow a regime, but to establish a stable government, it needs more. Otherwise, wars and turmoil are likely to continue.

Whitebeard's current plan is to use his prestige to influence the countries he controls. He wants those countries, once they join the World Government, to have their own voices at the World Summit.

This way, changes and influence can be made quietly and with minimal effort.

Of course, all of this relies on one essential foundation: absolute strength. Whitebeard plans to use his absolute power to make others listen to him and silence opposition.

"Lord Whitebeard, Kaido and Big Mom have been shouting to see you, Do you want to go?"

At this time, a samurai came to report.

"They can't stand being ignored for long. Fine, it's troublesome, but let's go see what they want," Whitebeard said as he got up.

In the sturdy cell, Kaido and the others were unusually quiet. Whitebeard floated down from above, and they could clearly hear the slight vibration of the air.

"Whitebeard, you here," Kaido whispered.

"If you have something to say, say it quickly. I'm not always in the mood to see you. Right now, we need to focus on fighting Marine," Whitebeard said impatiently.

"Brother Whitebeard, we're part of the Whitebeard Pirates now. We want to contribute to the battle," Kaido said eagerly.

"Is everyone thinking this way?" Whitebeard asked, looking at the others. The Three Plagues and Big Mom all nodded in agreement.

Whitebeard thought for a moment. With Kaido and Big Mom's combat power, they could easily crush Marine. However, this wouldn't help train his own pirate crew.

If Whitebeard just wanted to defeat Marine, he could handle it alone. He could sweep through them without anyone stopping him. But that would mean his crew wouldn't gain any experience, and he'd be exhausted himself.

"No," Whitebeard firmly rejected Kaido's request. He didn't need such powerful combatants for this battle.

He kept Kaido and Big Mom in reserve, not only for the factors previously considered but also for potential emergencies.

Whitebeard isn't sure about the abilities and trump cards of the top figures, like Lord Imu and the Five Elders, in that world.

Since Whitebeard doesn't know what abilities and trump cards the top figures have, he prefers to keep Kaido and Big Mom around. The benefits outweigh the risks.

"Why? Don't you trust me? We won't betray you and sided with Marine," Kaido insisted.

"I just don't believe it. Who knows what you might do? Didn't Roger defeat the Rocks Pirates with Marine's help?" Whitebeard replied.

Kaido had nothing to say in response. He knew Whitebeard wouldn't agree.

After Whitebeard left, Kaido began to complain.

"Whitebeard really doesn't trust us. It seems we won't have an easy time even if we join his crew," Kaido said.

"What are you saying? Do you want to betray Whitebeard? ? No one can resist his power," Big Mom replied fearfully, having lost all confidence in challenging Whitebeard.

"Of course not. We can't fight Whitebeard together. But do you want to stay imprisoned by him?"

"He might never let us go, and even if he does, we might not have any freedom," Kaido said.

"I know that, but what can we do in this situation? We're powerless right now," said Big Mom.

"Boss Kaido, do you really have a plan? If so, let us hear it," Jack asked.

"I want to cooperate with Marine,"

Kaido said, looking around and whispering.

"What!"

Big Mom exclaimed in shock, her emotions running high.

"Keep your voice down. If we're going to proceed, we need to plan carefully and be cautious," Kaido said, gesturing quickly.

"But can we really handle Whitebeard if we cooperate with Marine? We might end up being used by Marine to defeat Whitebeard, and then they'll turn on us. The result could still be the same," Big Mom said.

"Yeah, Marine isn't trustworthy at all, just like Roger was at the beginning," King added.
