CHAPTER 10: FIRST UNOFFICIAL DATE PRELUDE

Iris watched the massacre, she couldn't move, fear petrified her on the spot. Tranquil attacks left the earth charred and barren, Yok's feral howls in the woods, the screams of the others. Even though she knew player killing was wrong, she couldn't help but sympathize with the ones that made threats towards them. The attacks they received were brutal, she clutched her ears trying to mitigate the overwhelming echoes of pain.

Unable to keep her ears covered; Iris did something she, herself never expected to do. She ran! Not back or away from the fight but toward the fight. She just couldn't take it anymore, Shikigami wasn't his right self. The Shikigami she knew, would never intentionally hurt people, the sword! It was the sword's doing. It was hurting people.
