The evening News

While flipping through the day's issue of the Daily Bugle, two long-print articles leapt out. The first read: "CAR BOMB KILLS 3, INJURES 7!!

"Last night a bomb was detonated after being placed in the undercarriage of a car parked outside of Antonio's House of Pasta, a restaurant notoriously frequented by members of various organized crime families. Three patrons of the restaurant were murdered in the explosion, and several were left gravely injured.

"The authorities currently have no suspects, and are continuing a thorough investigation of the crime scene. In response to reporters, Lieutenant Angus Lamont has blamed the destruction on a local feud between rival factions of the Maggia crime family. One of the Dead, Luigi Cappruconi, was a reputed member of said organization."

The 2nd article read: "ROXXON WIZ KID KIDNAPPED!!"

"A bizarre incident occurred late last night at the upper-east-side home of the Seavers family, whose son Cameron Seaver ischnical weigh reccently employed by conglomerate Roxxon Oil. The youth was kidnapped, by what was claimed to be 'horrible ghost ninjas that could walk through walls'?!

"According to the police, the Seavers' home was infiltrated by unknown assailants shortly after midnight. As no items of monetary value are missing, police believe the intruders came only to capture the young Cameron Seavers. The boys' parents, who witnessed the entire ordeal, remain unharmed. Currently the family remains sequestered in its home by police, and are refusing to speak to any and all reporters. When asked, corporate representatives of the Roxxon Oil Company refused to release any formal comments at this time, outside of the extension of consolation to the bereaved Seavers family."
