Entering Tiger City

Entrance to Tiger City, Immortal Continent

"Phew! The entrance ceremony for the Divine Tiger Sect is being held this afternoon!" The city guard couldn't help but sigh to his companion.

"I heard the Divine Tiger sect is only accepting those who have reached the 2nd Layer of the Qi Gathering Realm" the second guard said.

"How miserable, we have to stand here and can't apply." The city guards were stationed at the gate of Tiger City and were not able to go to entrance ceremony. Joining the Divine Tiger sect was the dream of all cultivators, joining meant success of cultivating the Heavenly Dao.

"Brother, who is that handsome young man?" Suddenly the two saw a young man with very long white hair in a white robe. The young man appeared to have no cultivation, but he gave off an ancient aura. The 2 looked eachother and hid their smirks.

"Sir! Stop right there!" One of the guards stopped Ye Yang at the entrance of the city.

"Yes? Is there something?" Ye Yang said, his tone sounded very uninterested.

"You are very arrogant for a mortal!" The guard sneered. "If you want to enter the city pay 1,000 taels!"

Ye Yang looked at the 2 foolish guards with a smirk.

'These 2 idiots are really causing trouble for master!' The ring was very angry, these 2 guards dared to make trouble for them!

"I don't remember a city fee that costed more than 100 taels, not to mention 1,000. I will enter this city and you two can kneel here for the next 10 years and maybe I will let you off."

"You arrogant brat!" When the guard hears Ye Yangs arrogant attitude he couldn't take it anymore, he was in the 2nd Layer of the Qi Gathering Realm and mortals had no place in refusing his orders.

The guard leapt into the air and swung his sword towards Ye Yang.

"Tigers Punishment!" The guard immediately pulled of his strongest sword move. This was a common cultivation technique, and when cultivated to the peak could be very strong. The guard was very confidant, this sword move could help him kill anyone in the same realm and sometimes he could even kill someone in the 3rd layer. Just as his sword move was about to hit Ye Yang it disintegrated into thin air.

"What the hell!" The guard was shocked and immediately realized he had made a grave mistake. This was no mortal, it was just that he was too strong and the guard could not see through his strength. The guards both backed away quickly.

"Senior we were blind! Please spare us!" The guards pleaded on the ground.

"You want me to spare you? But don't I owe you money? If I can't pay you how could I live with the consequences?" Ye Yang smiled as he said this, but the smile looked devilish and made the guards shiver in fear.

"No! Senior, you don't owe us any money! Please enter the city and spare our lives!"

'I am done playing around with these fools' Ye Yang thought, he looked at the guards and they immediately turned to ashes.

'Master is too strong…' the ring shivered with fear of it's master.

"Don't worry, Little Ring! We won't stay here for long, we will stay here long enough to see if my disciple is still around and then we will be on our way" Ye Yang said while smiling. The ring felt more comfortable knowing his master would not stay here for long, who knows how many more fools may come to trouble them.

Ye Yang looked around the city for a while, and noticed it was quite busy today. It seemed that there was an event going on. He had seen many food vendors and decided to try some of the local city food. After eating Ye Yang decided to look for his old disciple. The last time Ye Yang saw his eldest disciple, Lao Qing, he was in this very city. Ye Yang told Lao Qing that he was going to go into seclusion and they parted. Ye Yang decided to catch up with him before going out.

"Little Ring let's go see if we can find Lao Qing!" Ye Yang smiled happily, he enjoyed having his silly little disciples around millions of years ago.

"Master, let's go! I'm sure you already know of Young Master Lao's location?"

"Of course, you know me well." he smiled lightly and continued on through the busy streets.

Divine Tiger Sects Elder Hall

"Greetings to the Sect Master!" An elder in an orange Daoist robe respectfully kneeled in front of the sect master. He did not dare to breath too loud, for even though the man in front of him looked to be 20 years old, he was an ancient monster who swept through the Immortal Continent for the past million years. He had cultivated all the way to the 8th layer of the Half-God Realm and was close to breaking through to the 9th layer.

The Sect Master had an orange robe with black Tiger patterns on it. His eyes were very domineering, they were an odd shade of yellow that almost seemed to be glowing. He had long black hair that was tied back, on his side was a small token. On the token was a golden dragon and a crimson phoenix, the two were domineering and seemed to be engaged in a battle.

"Give me the report." The Sect Master sighed.

"Reporting to the Sect Master! The new disciples this year seem to be promising, we have successfully recruited 7,000 outer disciples and 250 inner disciples!" The elder bowed respectfully.

"Good! It seems this year will not be too bad!" The Sect Master sounded excited but if you saw him, he had a distant look on his face. It seemed to him that nothing in the world mattered anymore.

"You leave first."

"Sect Master, I will take my leave!" The elder bowed before disappearing on the spot.

"Sigh! Master, when will you return I really don't know what to do anymore" The Sect Master had a sad look on his face, he seemed to be reminiscing in old memories. Suddenly the token on his side vibrated which caused him to jump up in shock.

"Master! You're actually here?!" The Sect Master was delighted and quite literally jumped in the air with joy. How long had it been since he had parted with his master? The Sect Master pulled out a sword and flew out of the Elder Hall and into the Tiger City to find his master. The elders who were still in the hall were shocked, was this their domineering Sect Master?
