Nicholson continued, "Leo is a producer and investor, able to control awards nominations. Mel Gibson? You all understand the situation. Although he publicly apologized and expressed sincere remorse, it would be quite something for him to even snag a nomination, let alone win an award—that's simply daydreaming. And as for Denzel Washington, after the big commotion with the previous black films, it's impossible for a black person to win one of the four major awards."
He chuckled, "As for the other directors, unless each of them throws in tens of millions of dollars, how can they compete with that bastard Martin? Not to mention whether they can afford it themselves, the production companies behind them aren't willing to spend so much just to vie for awards, not even able to recoup their investments."
Leonardo looked at Martin, "No wonder you keep saying to win awards fair and square..."
Martin countered, "Would you say this method is fair and square?"
