CHAPTER ONE_ Memories

Zara's pov

I woke up after hearing the loud sound of my bed alarm which always reminds me of my mother's soft voice "zara wake up it's morning" The memories of what happened to her came rushing into my mind like it just happened yesterday which makes a tear drop from my eyes .I have promised myself never to fall in love because of those awful memories.

I stood up from my bed to get ready for work. After dressing up, I head out to my place of work. I work at the Klemp company as the personal assistant to the manager of the company. The Klemp company and the well known Anand business organization is headed by the president Khalid Aurora .He also heads the other companies in different countries .He makes the decisions while

the managers known as the board of directors follow his decisions

Although I have never met khalid but I've heard so many things about him , rumors from people that he is a very cold,lofty and domineering man, he has never dated and he is youngest billionaire.

Before I graduated from college I have always wanted to work in Anand business organization headquarters because their pay is good but I'll have to start from the scratch because only the best of the best works there.

After getting to the Klemp company I headed to my office to start compiling the documents needed for the day's meeting.

Khalid's pov

Are you up khalid? I heard my annoying younger sister's voice,ummi which means mother. she was named that after my mom passed away while giving birth to her. we were left in the care of my father who also passed away five years ago and since then I've been running our family business and also taking care of ummi who is just eighteen.

I have no time for romance or pleasure. All I care about is making sure my family business flourish well which has been growing well in the business industry .

Are you listening khalid? My sister's voice jolted me back to reality and I lazily get up from bed to open the door for her. Why are you disturbing my peaceful sleep ummi? I asked calmly while trying to hide irritation.

well I came to tell you that your P.A is in the sitting room waiting for you,she replied.

What is he doing here?I asked

He said he has been trying to call you but your number is not going through and you have an important meeting with the board of directors which you must not miss

Ok, Tell him to wait for me, I'll be done in the next twenty minutes

I want to ask you about your preparation for the upcoming end of the year party.

Rohit will take care of it don't worry about it. Ok brother , I'm off to school now,take care.

After ummi left I hurried to the bathroom to take my bath and get prepared for the meeting.
