"A … a what?"

She exchanged glances with Jorge. Even Collin turned to look at his mother, thinking he might be sick or something.

"Is something wrong with my son?" Mirabel asked. Her eyes held all of the seriousness that it could. It was almost like her mind had not registered that Charles Wanky also had the same condition. She had no business thinking of him, so her thoughts, concern and questions were all of her son.

"No, Mrs Trimshaw, there is nothing wrong with him." The main doctor waved his hands in front of him vigorously to emphasize the point.

She let out a sigh of relief. Then she immediately asked, "Then what is that condition?"

Dr Howlett could see that he even had the full attention of Mr Trimshaw from the slight narrowing of his eyes and the parsing of his lips into a tight line.
