The Culprit (6)

Richard had always been a peculiar person in the eyes of all those who knew him. However, the people who really knew him were few and for very good reason. None dared make speculations about him or his family.

Like Charles, everything that Richard had done in his life was right in the eyes of his parents. No one knew if this was what had fuelled his path in life or the perceived partiality towards his younger brother.

After all, Richard was a fully grown man who knew about sexual relations before his brother had been born. He had grown up as an only child who was used to everything being handed over to him on a silver platter.
