A visit from an old friend Part I

I sighed. My gaze was fixed on the monitor which showed no signals from the rescue team. Nashley had tried every way possible to contact them, but there were no replies or any responses. What was worse was that it was almost dark. If they showed up now, it would be a million times more troublesome than during the day.

Since we would not be able to see Dy and Dylan as good as daytime.

“The head office reported that they haven’t returned yet,” said Jordan. He was holding a satellite phone used for receiving signals from people on the shore. “They said that the team went off since noon. They couldn’t contact them either.”

“Hopefully nothing bad happened.”

“Nashley.” Nashley lowered her gaze after a stern warning from Eric. I shook my head and licked my lips a little, pondering my next move.

To take a risk and find people in the middle of the sea was no different than walking right into the megalodons’ mouth.
