He chuckled softly like I had just told him a joke. His firm hand patted my shoulder, and gently squeezed as if giving encouragement for me who knew nothing. He made me even more frustrated by treating me as if I were a small kid in his eyes.
“What are you hiding from me?”
“I’ll tell you after you accept my offer.”
“Quit parry the questions. You don’t even have the right to negotiate,” I retorted. I was the one with the power and rights over EDS, and I had the right to give orders to anyone. “This is my place. You’re an intruder whom I saved. So don't act like you can mess with anyone. I can push you down now and let the sharks eat you.”
“Aw, you’re good at making threats. I didn’t know that Rose had raised her son to be such a smart mouth.”
