Hide and seek Part I

I frowned. I did not understand why Eric did that. He hurled the bag into the clear sea. He did not care about his previous effort in trying to find it. The bag seemed to be carrying a heavy item, because it sank into the deep sea within a few moments. Eric stood there, making sure nothing would go wrong. Then, he hurried back. It was almost morning now.

I licked my lips and waited until he entered the research center. I immediately climbed down from the water tank and ran to where he had thrown the bag away. What was inside the bag and why would he destroy it? It seemed to be something of great importance or something that could be too influential.

The only way I could know what was inside…

…was by jumping down and bringing it back.
