“I’ll make it up to you tonight.”
“I’ll take what I've lost out on as well.” He issued a threat. Sad to say that I was not one bit afraid. I chewed the turkey that Dy had given to me and wiped Synon’s mouth. Sywan was focusing on his baby brother. He was so cute when he tried to take care of his brother as well as he could. It was to relieve the burden from me and their fathers, so we would not be too tired.
But he was mostly doing it for me.
“Mom should eat. I’ll feed Synon.”
“It’s okay, good boy. You eat your dinner.” I tousled his hair and pinched my eldest’s cheek as an example for Synon to follow. Synon’s small hands stroked his brother’s cheeks. He smiled sweetly and gave his brother a peck, making him flush red with embarrassment.
But he kept his poker face.
“Why don’t we go for a walk in the park tomorrow?”
I stopped short.
