THE NOVEL (PART-1)

In a dimly lit room, a woman is lying on a bed made of wood with a pile of blankets cushioning her body. Her rosy face is sickly pale due to the pains of labor. There are servants, nannies, and midwives rushing all across the room assisting the woman on the bed. Hearing the groans of pain coming from the room, a young man is pacing around anxiously for the arrival of his child.

Half an hour later, sounds ceased coming from the room and a very weak cry of a newborn baby is heard. A slightly older-looking midwife came out of the room and saluted the young man before announcing, "The young madam and the little young miss are safe, My Lord". Having gotten the assurance, the young man rewarded the midwife along with some other servants and barged inside the room to meet his wife and the baby.

Entering the room, he went to his wife who is looking at the baby lovingly with a heartwarming expression on her exhausted face. He hugged his wife and kissed her on her forehead tenderly before picking up the baby from his wife's embrace and cooing the baby gently. After playing with their little ball of sunshine to his heart's content, he turned to his wife and asked her, "What do you think we should name our little bun, wife?". And to that, the young woman sweetly murmured "Sophia" under her breath. The young man also happily agreed with his wife and named the baby girl "Sophia Lily Cooper". Thus, a little lady Sophia was born to Duke Edward Cooper and his wife, Duchess Emily Cooper on the first of October.

On the day of the little lady Sophia's birth in the ducal house in the Capital of Montera Kingdom, the Duke is so happy that he hosted a banquet inviting everyone throughout the whole capital. The banquet was so lavish that every aristocrat and all of the royal family members gathered in the banquet talking about the little lady of the Ducal house. The Emperor of the Montera Kingdom even gave an imperial edict stating the engagement between the newly born lady Sophia of the ducal house and the 1-year-old Crown prince Cristopher Montero of the Montera kingdom.

Time flied by, Sophia was now two years old. Ever since she was born she was deeply doted on by everyone. Every person who sees her instantly falls in love with the lovely Sophia. Even the servants fight for a chance to take care of their little lady. Sophia was an exceptionally intelligent kid, she was able to speak when she was just 6 months old.

One day, the Duke and the Duchess got into a huge fight that ended up with the Duchess being depressed. The cause of their disagreement was deeply rooted in a significant event that had just taken place: the birth of a child. However, this child's arrival was not under ordinary circumstances, as the mother was a servant and the father was none other than the Duke himself.

The Duke, too, was struck with a profound sense of remorse and regret for his actions, but there is nothing they could do about it. Since they are kind-hearted, they allowed the child to live and arranged food and shelter and a couple of servants to take care of the newly born. The baby was named "Amyra Black" by her mother before she died due to complications during childbirth.

Time passed by, Sophia and Amyra grew up. While Sophia was hailed as a genius because of her talent in martial arts cultivation and cause of her intelligence, Amyra was deemed a gloomy kid with little to no talent whatsoever. While the Ducal house appeared to be peaceful as always on the surface the Duke was very busy with the issue concerning the mass murder of the Empress and her family and the disappearance of the Crown prince Christopher.

The Emperor Joseph was grieving for the death of his Empress but since the kingdom needs an Empress, the Imperial Consort Leanne was crowned the Empress and the second prince, Martin Mortero who is just a few months younger than Christopher was made the new Crown prince of the Montera Kingdom.
