Octa's Guide

A phone rang through the hallway where the woman and Rueben stood watching each other. Her scent lured in the air with the remnants of her touch on the witch's waist. The atmosphere was thick with tension while we stared at each down with intriguing eyes and curious thoughts. She fiddled with a glass flask which had a clear liquid which glittered purple in the fluorescent lights. To others, it might seem like an awkward moment, but the heat that was seeping from her eyes said otherwise.

She nodded her head toward Rueben. "You gonna answer that" a sense of possessiveness was owned by her words.

Rueben answered, staring at her fingers. "no"

"Let's go" she headed for the stairs but the witch stood firm in place. She turned towards her with prying eyes. "What?" Rueben turned towards the opposite end.

"I prefer this way," Rueben threw over her shoulder, then she carefully stepped deeper down the hallway.

She heard the she-wolf shuffle in her stands. "there is no way out that way"

"Let's make a way," she commented as heels stomped over wooden floors.

The tensions in the woman's eyes could be felt on Rueben's back while they moved towards a window. Rueben began to try each other but none seemed to work. She caressed the top of the window, which made the window crack open a bit. The witch opened it wider when the woman moved her aside and stepped out onto the fire escape.

She reached back into the window. "no intro," she murmured as Rueben took her hand reluctantly, so she didn't fall on her face.

The she-wolf's fingers grasp around hers while Rueben sits and swings her legs over the windowsill. "why would we?" The woman's hand was covered in clauses which Rueben gladly ran her fingers across them while dumping into cold metal rings. The witch felt the she-wolf shiver at contact and Rueben let go of her hand like it burned her.

The cold caressed her legs while the woman stared down at the witch "we are going to be several weeks together, let's at least be civil" Rueben turned to face her, and the she-wolf presented her hand "Felita, most people call me Lita" Rueben ignored it.

She began to climb down the stairs. "Rueben," the witch turned towards her. "Just Rueben. '' the two slowly made their way down. "how many times have you been in Perpetuum? How long have you stayed?" Rueben stopped to pull at her heels when Felita graciously grabbed the witch's ankle against her rough skin, which made Rueben shiver.

Rueben took a deep breath at the sudden physical touch, but the witch shook off the feeling and looked at the lit-up city and their secret lives that in it, "a few times a year" Lita began to caress Ruben's ankle causing the witch to look down at her. Lita's eyes flashed red that seemed to burn the coal in the pit of her iris, she smirked holding Rueben's heels in her hand "time doesn't exist in Perpetuum-" Rueben bent over to grab her heels while she felt Lita tense and Rueben knew why.

The hair on the back of Rueben's neck stood up while an eerie atmosphere moved through her bones and, though the night was cold, nothing felt like this. It was like eyes creeping at the back of her neck, pulling her attention, or rather pulling at her soul. Rueben turned to the building across from them, but they were met with nothing but darkness. They both exhaled in relief even though the feeling had not changed. The two looked back at the wall again only for a flash of light to caress the wall, relieving the hideous creatures.

It hangs on the wall like a bat. From its head to feet was covered in skin gray skin, long malnourished body with tribal tattoos depicting what they once were and hair still as thick of a mane like it was, it look at them, showing off its hollow glowing eyes and mouth "Shit" Rueben pulled Lita to look down at her "don't stare, look at me" The witch felt Lita shiver in her hand.

Lita clenched her teeth. "What is that?" She was too scared to speak over a whisper.

Rueben gathered half of her staff as she felt it ready to spring "I'll explain afterwards, just do what I do" the creature let out a noise that made her hairs stand on end, the only way to explain it was it made you feel empty. Rueben observed Lita's nails shift away from her flesh and the witch noticed her eyes move from terror to defending, before she had the chance to shield the witch but Rueben yanked her down again "Concentrate" the cry echoed again just when the beast was about to assault.. Rueben swung her staff that had a steel ball on the end into the beast causing it to swallow the beast up.

Rueben exhaled when Lita grabbed her shoulder. "what the fuck is going on!?" Lita stressed as Rueben stepped forward to answer, but a light flashed past the witch's face. She turned to the wall to see many of them.

Rueben's eyes grew wide. "shit" She grabbed Lita's hand and began tracking up the stairs as the pale creature followed, hanging on the poor rusting, "we need a higher ground!" The fire escape shook with all the access weight.

Lita grabbed Rueben's shoulders. "Get on my back," she growled, and she jumped on no question asked.

Lita's nails dug into the side of the wall. She moved like a mountain lion, swift and flexible, even with the added weight she scaled the wall. Keeping their distance while Rueben knocked off anything that came close, the witch summoned a change of clothes which wasn't as fresh as Rueben would like it. They crawl across private parties, drug deal,s and empty rooms which they saw through windows until they reached the top. Rueben climbed off Lita's back and began running across rooftops, jumping and sliding.

She sniffed the air before shaking her head. "What is that smell?" She accused Reuben with a stick face.

Rueben cringed up her nose. "Sorry," Lita eyed the witch up and down before realizing she had changed her outfit.

"When did you have time to change?" She questioned. They both slid down a roof shelter, with Lita showing off her muscled thighs and Rueben wanting she-wolf to crush her head between them "Your power is changing clothes real fast" she shouted while Rueben shook her head as they ran for the next building.

Rueben was about to answer when Lita grabbed her arm and pulled the witch towards her with a huge huff. Rueben looked down from the ledge to see a big gap between the two buildings. "We could've made that," she argued with She-wolf, their faces a few centimeters apart.

Lita shook her head "I could have made it" she smirked, her hand gripping Rueben's waist and sniffed her way into Rueben's neck "You smell like sleep and nostalgia" Rueben pushed Lita off her as the she-wolf erupted into a soft giggle "what now?" They faced the crowd, which was jumping toward them. Rueben bit her lip.

Rueben's eyes glazed over the ledge, the open space that led to a billboard to the right of them. They were running out of space and time. "We fight" Rueben ran towards the billboard.

The witch dismissed her staff and jumped against the billboard with Lita following close by, behind the gray beingragingd on. The women jumped against the billboard, flipping the creatures and landing behind them. The creatures circle the two women. Rueben waited for one to attack, but when one did. Lita took it down. She pounced on the gray being and knocked it to the ground. Her head dipped to the neck.

"Don't hurt them," Rueben shouted as Lita gave her a look. "just knock them out," she nodded before slamming her fist to its head.

They turned back to the crowd. The two women were running out of space. Rueben swung her staff towards the group, slamming a few out of existence. But one jumped towards Rueben, which started a wave of the beings, but the witch knocked it before back flipping and Lita began to knock out the ones that followed. Rueben grabbed the casualties while avoiding their sharp nails and hallowing mouths. She sprinted for the billboard. The witch ran up the board and flipped over, swiping the ones that dare to follow.

Lita flipped over the creature while grabbing Rueben's staff and collecting a few of her own. They began to fight alongside each other like a tango, swirling around one another and sharing the staff until the roof was cleared. Lita turned towards Rueben while swinging the staff from side to side. She spun the stick between her fingers.

"This staff is well balanced" she swooshed the rod "It's like a good bat or an ax, with the right speed you take someone's head off with it" She flipped the staff as Rueben stuffed my hands in her pocket. With a small smile on her lips as watch Lita's childish behavior.

Rueben cleared her throat, trying to push down the feelings "yea, the latest in weapon technology, it analyzes your weight, height, and oscillatory motion to give you that extra swing" Rueben smiled nervously while Lita approached her, still rolling the staff around her wrist and a heat enter the witch's cheeks at she-wolf blatant stare.

Suddenly, a creature grabbed Rueben's neck, scarring her chest before sinking its teeth into the witch's throat. Rueben gasped, falling to the ground when Lita hit the thing off the witch as the burning sensation raced through her body. Rueben shook in pain as Lita leaned over her, Lita's hair curtain down on her face, but all Rueben could see was shadow coating the she-wolf's face. Lita gently lifted Rueben's head, which made the street light caress Lita's features, and Rueben saw her eyes filled with concern. She bowed her head into the witch's neck.

A soft, wet lick moved across Rueben's skin. She grabbed Lita's forearm and shivered. Her scent took over Rueben's senses, which made the witch gasp for air. Lita moved her tongue down Rueben's collarbone and chest. It stung with healing, but the cool night air soothed the sting. Rueben's eyes widened when she felt the emotions falling from Lita, the mixture of lust and sadness. Soon Rueben was swimming in a world of pure emotions, and it was too overwhelming to handle. She passed out in the arms of the she-wolf.
