Sierra's Jealousy!

"Oh, God! What a good occasion to see my brother and his secretary on their wedding day!" Denis happily cheered with his words and walked to them.

He opened his arm for a hug but Davis swung his left hand, rejecting any kind of greeting from his brother.

"C'mon, Davis! You are finally married! What a good occasion it is to celebrate your marriage with..." Denis's sharp eyes traveled to look at the lady in the white trench coat and smiled, "...such a beautiful lady and your secretary."

"Call her sister-in-law, Denis." Davis strictly warned but there was more than that.

Davis's fingers were clenched into a cyst which was ready to be thrown at this man if he did anything out of his line.

But at the same time, Denis's grin never dimmed when he kept on bubbling, "Sister-in-law...Here I thought I would never get one. It is good to see you getting married, Davis. I'm genuinely happy for you."

Davis turned his face where his eyes narrowed, "You could have shown much better concern than faking such an ugly smile, my brother. Improve your acting and learn from someone better." Davis taunted back and this time, his hand curled around Lucy's waist naturally.

It took Lucy back. At first, he had cupped her face into his, and now her waist in his embrace, what was he trying to prove?

Yet on the second note, she saw Davis's face layering with the frost of winter mist.

He was turning more cold in his attitude and his sarcastic speech was reaching new heights now.

Subconsciously, Lucy tapped on Davis's chest to calm him down. She massaged his back with her other hand while maintaining a smooth flow of smile facing Denis. "Now you have a sister-in-law, Mr. Denis. And that's because everything changes with time and so do people."

Hearing her voice, Denis's previous over-acting stopped. He returned to his normal demeanor and tugged his hand into the pocket of his pants.

"I see Davis has chosen a fierce wife for himself." Denis's reply gained a chuckle from Lucy where she replied, "Instead of focusing on whom Davis has chosen, why don't you look out for your own girl, Mr. Walker? It seems she has seen a ghost."

At this exchange of words, everyone's eyes flew to look behind Denis and found one and only Sierra, who had lost the color of her face. She was wearing a pink dress but her face resembles marble.

"Oh, Ms. Sierra! Why don't you join us here?" Lucy didn't know where she gained this courage.

Why the hell was she inviting her new husband's ex? The scene of the banquet never left her mind.

She was with Davis' brother, yet trying her seduction on Davis too? Weren't they an old story till now?

No matter how curious she was, she watched Sierra take steps toward them. Yet in the middle of the time, she noticed how Davis's jaws clenched but relaxed in a minute.

She wasn't surprised by his reaction, since the lady was his old flame. However, Lucy found herself wrapping her right hand around his waist gently to comfort him.

Sierra walked towards them elegantly and stood beside Devis with a blank face. "c-congratulations, Davis."

"Hmm.." Davis gave his acknowledgment and at this simple reaction, Sierra clenched her first. She gulped down in anxiety but never let it appear on her face. "You guys married very quickly, didn't you? Just a few nights ago, we met you, Lucy."

"It wasn't very quick, Sierra. We have been seeing each other for the last six months." Davis answered with a calm tone and it was sufficient to rock Sierra's peace of mind.

Sierra stared at Davis's smirk and then her eyes traced to find him holding Lucy close by his side. 'Why the hell is he so calm? Did he date this lady just a few months after our breakup?' At this thought, burning fury crossed her mind.

"Davis, I thought you would like to be single for some time after what happened in the past." Sierra's words gained Lucy's attention. Lucy's brows lifted upwards and she found herself rotating her neck to look at her new husband.

At this point, she came across a small smile tracing the man's face. He was smiling willingly as if nothing mattered to him anymore.

"You are correct, I thought the same about myself. You know, some people move from one relationship very fast but it takes some time for others. I'm one of those people who takes time to get over everything."

"Eventually, when one person is cheated on, he loses interest in love. However, my myth burst when I met Lucy." Davis found himself diverting his attention back to his wife who was stuck in his embrace, "She is a definition of the right people. We need to meet the wrong people to find the right one, she's the one."

"Hah, so much love between you two. I'm already feeling that love is in the air tonight!" Denis commented and this broke Davis's and Lucy's eye contact. Lucy lowered her head in embarrassment but a tinge of blush was covering her cheekbone.

Meanwhile, Sierra's nails dig inside her skin. Her eyesight was pushing daggers in Lucy's direction, but Lucy was too preoccupied with her inner turmoil to hardly pay attention to such a common factor.

Yet it didn't miss Davis's eagle gaze where he ended up mentioning it to her.

"Sierra, I know my wife is beautiful but I hope you could keep your eyes to yourself." Hearing this, everyone found them looking at Sierra, who herself was caught at the wrong spot. "haha...Davis..you are already protective over her."

"She's such a brilliant person, obviously I need to be protective of her. After all, I'm her husband and she's mine to cherish and be gazed at." Davis gave them a reminder.

But his words contained hidden agenda. Declaration of his territory over Lucy was mocking in front of Denis, who was himself finding it hard to accept.

Denis's face lost its color with dark and gloomy expressions filling his eyes. "Davis..."

"Mr. Davis and Mrs. Davis, would you like to have tea with everyone now?" The butler came at the right time. He bowed to Denis and Sierra first before awaiting an answer.

In response, Davis shook his head. "It's already late in the night, I will be bringing my wife back to our house. Everyone, please enjoy your night while I do mine." Davis gave Denis a playful wink, which was totally unexpected out of his personality and his cold demeanor.

Denis's face turned chilly and Sierra's eyes were turning sharper than the knife's edge. Yet Lucy remained stoic to everything happening before her. She bid goodbye to everyone and left the mansion, hand in hand with Davis which was seemingly very annoying in everyone's eyes.

When they vanished out of their sight, Sierra gritted her teeth. "This girl! she has climbed Davis's bed just in a few days! Such a whore..."

"Whore?" Denis chuckled at his own imagination and laughed. "She isn't a whore...but an interesting character...tsk, she married Davis."
