Lucy turned around to look at Davis with suspicious eyes. "What kind of work do you have now?"
"It is something important. I can't delay it. Just a few phone calls.." hearing this, she watched Davis taking out his phone and dialing someone's number.
Her lips turned into a straight line as an unpleasant feeling rose in her heart.
Since the night was falling deeper the cold was increasing. She wasn't wearing any good clothes to keep herself warm either.
As her eyes were still bearing to see Davis moving towards the other side of the cottage, the voice of conversation ran in her ears and she moved her legs to step inside.
Lowering her head, she had hidden her emotions too well but Davis had seen it all.
After which he turned around to see Lucy not anymore.
Stopping himself from doing a fake conversation, he finally dialed a real number and heard a cold voice. "Boss, this late? Is everything alright?"
"You didn't tell me something earlier."
