Forgive?

Davis was sitting beside Lucy in the normal room of the hospital. It is already going to be morning in the next few hours.

Lucy was shifted to a normal room after a successful operation and blood transfer. Her body was on the stage of recovery where he could see her pale face slowly regaining its original color.

However, his worries weren't resolved. Davis's eyes didn't leave her face for a minute.

He was in a daze, recalling the last words he had with the doctor before asking something out of the league.

"Doctor, can Lucy hear our words if we speak while she has her eyes closed?" Davis was curious and the doctor gave him a positive reply.

"Absolutely. It's just that her body isn't ready for her to respond but her mind is working. Her senses are all good and if you say and try to talk, it will be one-sided conversation but she will listen to everything."

Recalling these words, Davis's lips curved into a straight line. He couldn't deny that he was eager to the point.
