"Brother, at least listen to me." Lucy pleaded with her eyes finally snapping from embarrassment. "I was set up in this trap. Otherwise how would your sister be indulged and get into an accident?"
"Trap?" Adam laughed off, "I'm pretty much sure they must be related to your dear husband, isn't it?"
On hearing this, Lucy looked at Davis again but he was too indifferent to their talks. As if he wasn't easily bothered by each word.
Switching her eyes back to Adam, she smiled at him, "It happened, brother. I'm sure it will not ever happen again!"
Adam didn't try to shut her down anymore. He was seizing her as if he was ready to eat her alive. This feeling of being scolded by her brother was the first of every kind. She was always left with no other choice.
In the end, Adam sighed. "Lucy, you need not to bother yourself because of this bastard. He can go and die! Don't care about him!"
