Suspiscion

Alex gripped his sickle tightly, and Ray, who was huffing on the ground, unable to use any magic, stood up, taking a battle stance.

The wolves attacked like zombies, and the fight raged like madmen, but it didn't matter how many wolves Alex killed; they responded even stronger and with more rage than before. 

The two fought bravely, but with an infinite number of enemies and increasing fatigue, the inevitable happened. Ray was the first one to fall, while Alex didn't last much longer either. For the monstrous creatures, no longer wolves, these two were just pieces of meat to feed on. 

"I should have run. I should have run." Freya, who was watching this eerie scene from afar, collapsed on her knees, her legs shaking uncontrollably, unable to hold her weight. 

She just looked at this nightmare with wide eyes. Two of her strong comrades were screaming and calling for help while they were being eaten alive.
