{Back to the present.}
If I hadn't had that talk with Leonis, I'd probably be feeling a little uncomfortable seeing Isis here today. But seeing her now, a sort of pride sets over me because I now know that Leonis has always been mine. Even before I knew it, even before I accepted it, he's been mine and mine alone.
"Congratulations on your marriage." Isis says as she hands me a bouquet of roses of diverse colors. It's a beautiful bouquet and it has a lovely scent coming from it.
"Thank you," I say with a smile that is brighter than the one on her face.
"But it's not too late to change your mind, you know. If you—"
"No, thank you." I shun her before she can even say anything further. "I'm going to marry Leonis. I won't be sitting down here if I hadn't made my decision in the first place."
Silently, she stares at me and nods before finally saying, "Well then, I guess you won and I lost"
