Facing the consequences

With a thunderous sound, Rhea collapsed onto the stony ground, her head hitting it hard, but the agony in her lower chest, where Draven had stabbed her, was even more intense than the pain in her head. Blood trickled from the corner of her mouth, as she lay there betrayed by the vile Dragon.

As the crimson liquid seeped out, it filled the cave with its acrid scent. Clutching her lower chest with a trembling hand, Rhea tried to stop the flow, but to no avail. Through the murkiness of her fading vision, she could observe the puddle of blood forming beneath her.
