Chapter 12 : The Breeze Village

"It appears the sun might rise now," Uno said as he approached the Breeze Village in the dusk.

The swarm that surrounds the Breeze Village is substantially thinner this time around. Uno then decided to relax for the time being and leave the swarm for the people within the village to clear because these grass rats could be limited or something, which might impede other people's missions.

During Uno's return to the village. Uno came across and eliminated another 6 rat lairs, 14 rat nests, 259 grass rats, and 12 alpha grass rats. Uno arrived close to the breeze village after almost four hours. Unfortunately, Uno's rewards from the six rat lairs are two Rat's Skin Tunics, two Rat's Skin Trousers, and two pairs of Rat's Skin Loafers, forming a two Rat's Skin Set. Uno stuffed everything in the gray sack, including the wooden staff and the lord's medallion.

Uno begins to lie down but notices that the swarm of grass rats actually begins retreating as the sun is rising. "What a coincidence," Uno exclaims as he approaches the Breeze Village.

The village's wooden gate is already open, and Sinro appears to be expecting Uno, saying, "That's a delicate sword you have there, that means something yeah?"

"Why are you here? Do you have special eyes or something?" Uno asked.

"Hm... I am here every time we open the wooden gate because the leftover grass rats try to break into the village, but it appears that someone is attempting to take over this job," Sinro responds.

Uno paused and pondered it, and it sounded rational, so he went towards the village. "Well, I'm tired as fuck," Uno replied.

Sinro only cracked a smile as he gazed at Uno. Once Sinro verified that the boundaries of the Breeze Village are secure. He returns to the fine-wooden house.

Uno looks about and notices a lot of sleeping people, and he finds a place to lie down and falls asleep straight away.

.

The residents of the village begin to awaken and get prepared to move forward with the mission. The day passed by, and the sun had begun to set. When the sun sets. A tremendously loud sound echoed across the area.

.

DING!!!

"What the fuck!" Uno was startled awake by the loud noise and began to glance around. Uno noticed Sinro standing outside the fine-wooden house. Then a huge holographic screen appears in front of his eyes.

"Oh shit! The mission!" Uno starts walking towards Sinro, and then everyone in the village is illuminated by the same light when he is summoned to this vast wilderness. Uno has suddenly become the sole person left in the Breeze Village.

Uno was baffled since he had not expected everyone to complete it. "I want to take my reward now; I don't want to be left behind," Uno expressed to Sinro.

"Let me tell you something first, Thomas' diary contains valuable information. It turns out that the grass rats are actually people or other races that were left behind. If you live outside the village's protection, you will evolve into a grass rat and eternally lives as a grass rat," Sinro said.

Uno responded, "Yeah, okay, give me my reward right now."

"I'm actually like you, but I failed the Village's Test that Thomas leads, so I was left behind. Thomas Lukar was a brilliant wise man with an ambition to make this vast wilderness into a proper city, but he is too old. Thomas is the reason why there is a Breeze Village," Sinro continued.

"Wait, are you from Earth?" Uno asked. "No, my reward please."

"No, I am from Vilya, but it appears you are from another planet," Sinro answered.

"Oh fuck!" Uno interrupted Sinro. "Please man, my reward."

"The reason I'm telling you this is that when I was summoned in this damned place, fortunately, I was summoned with my son, and when we received this village test, I helped my son complete his before mine, but I wasn't able to complete my own on time," Sinro explained.

Sinro pulled out a wooden token with a written character engraved on it and said, "This is our sigil back on my planet. My name is Sinro Klimpa and my son's name is Yaru Klimpa. This character in this sigil means Klimpa. If you managed to meet my son on the other side, if he is still alive, please hand over this to him."

Uno was taken aback and took a moment to think about it. Sinro then knelt on his two knees, tears streaming down his cheeks, and said, "Please, I beg you."

Uno felt stunned by this change of events and was jolted awake by the sound.

Uno accepted Sinro's request because he remembered his brother Dos and now feels worried about him. "All right, I'll accept your request; please stand and please you know."

When Uno accepted Sinro's request, Sinro instantly hugged Uno and handed over the wooden token, saying, "Thank you very much. I am in your debt. Please find my son and give this to him."

"I hereby announce," Sinro declared, "that you have completed the village's test."

Sinro saw Uno's excitement and added, "Good luck with your journey, and thank you again." Sinro bows to Uno.

Uno starts to illuminate in white light as he declares "I will honor your request, and I will give the sigil to your son." The story of the Breeze Village started to weigh heavily on Uno's heart and emotions.

Uno bows to Sinro and bids his farewell. Uno was engulfed by the stunning light and vanished on the spot. Sinro entered the fine-wooden house after staring at the sky.
