"Roar! Roar! Roar…!"
The fully grown Tier 6 Cerberus were massive, nearly as large as the Greater Basilisks. Each one was like a towering black mountain, exuding an overwhelming presence that made it hard to breathe. And to make things worse, their bodies were engulfed in terrifying hellfire!
This hellfire burned at an insanely high temperature, dealing damage equivalent to a Tier 1 spell.
Wherever the Cerberus passed, nothing remained—everything was reduced to ashes.
And there were a lot of them. Thirty-four, to be exact.
Yet, despite facing this horde of demonic hellhounds, Seraphina didn't hesitate for even a second. She charged straight in, tearing through their ranks like a force of nature, as if she were completely untouchable!
"ROAR!"
"ROAR!"
The Cerberus didn't know fear. Their eyes gleamed with savage intent as they lunged at Seraphina, aiming to rip her apart!
But before most of them could even get close, Seraphina struck first. Her claws, faster than lightning, slashed through the air—shredding them into nothing but pulp! Their bodies were crushed into the ground, leaving no trace behind.
Clearly, even though there were more of them, they were nowhere near the level of the Tier 8 Greater Basilisks she had fought earlier.
She wasn't even using any strategy—just brute force. And yet, in no time at all, all thirty-four Cerberus were dead.
As if it was nothing.
"That was insane…" Ethan couldn't help but give Seraphina a thumbs-up, his excitement barely contained.
She was treating Tier 6 and Tier 8 units like livestock, cutting them down without losing a single point of health. That's a Tier 13 Green Dragon for you! That's a Crimson Ultimate Hero! Absolutely unstoppable!
The battlefield atop the Doom Mountains was now littered with the corpses of Greater Basilisks and Cerberus, piled high like a grotesque monument to her power. The sight was downright terrifying.
"ROOOOAAAAARRRR!!!"
Seraphina let out a deafening dragon's roar, shaking the very air around her.
Her warrior's instinct made her revel in the thrill of battle. The sheer exhilaration of it sent a rush of excitement through her veins.
And the moment they heard that roar, the remaining Tier 5 Griffins and Tier 4 Battle Dwarves reacted as if the apocalypse had arrived.
Panic-stricken, they screamed and scattered in all directions, desperately trying to flee.
But there was no way Seraphina was going to let them get away.
"ROAR! ROAR! ROAR…!"
She let out another powerful dragon cry, her entire body surging with radiant draconic energy. That energy gathered in her throat, condensing into a terrifying dark green beam, which she then unleashed upon the fleeing Griffins in the sky.
Green Dragon racial ability—Venomous Dragon Breath!
"BOOOOOM!"
The devastating dragon energy exploded in the middle of the Griffin swarm, instantly forming a colossal, thousand-meter-wide dark green storm in the sky.
The storm's pull was so strong that every Griffin trying to escape was dragged right back in, swallowed whole by the raging vortex.
And in just a few moments…
They were gone.
Not a single one left.
"…"
Ethan stood there, completely stunned, his mind struggling to process what he had just witnessed.
If this kind of power existed in the real world… wouldn't that make her a walking, flying, dragon-shaped nuclear bomb?!
But Seraphina wasn't done yet.
After wiping out the Tier 5 Griffins, she spread her wings once more, turning her attention to the last remaining enemy—the Tier 4 Battle Dwarves.
"Chirp, chirp."
But just as she was about to dive in for the kill, Cicero, who had been standing beside Ethan, suddenly moved.
He made a sound, signaling Seraphina to stop.
"Roar…?"
She turned to look at Cicero, confusion written all over her face.
"Chirp, chirp."
Cicero said something to Seraphina, then wiggled his little backside, flapped his dragon wings, and flew straight toward the Battle Dwarves.
But… he didn't seem to be going there to kill them.
Instead, he landed near the Battle Dwarves and started talking.
A moment later, Ethan heard a system notification ring in his ears:
"56 Battle Dwarves admire you and wish to join your army. Do you accept?"
"WHAT THE—?!"
Ethan practically jumped out of his skin!
His face lit up with excitement, his eyes shining like stars.
Was this… was this the legendary Diplomacy skill from Glory Lords X?!
He quickly pulled up Cicero's status panel, frantically scanning for any sign of the Diplomacy skill… but there was nothing.
"Huh? What's going on?" Ethan frowned, confused.
"Chirp, chirp."
Cicero chirped again.
This time, Ethan listened carefully—and suddenly, it all made sense.
This was a special privilege granted to top-tier heroes of each faction!
They had a chance to recruit any Tier 11 or lower neutral units from their own faction. The higher the unit's tier, the lower the success rate.
Since Green Dragons were the Tier 13 Ultimate Units of the Rampart faction, and Battle Dwarves were just Tier 4 Rampart units, Cicero had casually gone over, had a quick chat… and just like that, they joined!
For him, recruiting Tier 4 units was practically a guaranteed success.
After all, the world of Glory Lords X wasn't just made of cold, lifeless data.
It was a living, breathing world—a world where things made sense.
It was like having the regional president of a multinational corporation personally come to recruit you.
Who in their right mind would say no?
"Accept!"
Without hesitation, Ethan selected Accept, grinning from ear to ear.
"This is amazing," he muttered excitedly. "Now I've got people to handle resource collection at all the key locations!"
