Jia Li held her breath as she felt his warm exhales against her skin, soon followed by the warmth of his lips.

She pushed him away. "Xianwu, no more teasing," she cautioned, observing his amused smile directed at her. 

"What did I do?" Xianwu acted innocent, keeping the smirk on his lips.

 "Act like a noble man not an immoral one," she scolded him. 

"I believe in acting immorally around you," Xianwu remarked.  

Jia Li shot a glance at him. 

"Don't look at me with that gaze. It gives me an invitation to do more with you," Xianwu said.

Revenge Of The Crown Princess

Grand Empress Dowager learned from the maidservant, who was a spy too, about the session going on in the court. How her note appeared, which stated that she wanted Xianwu to be dead.

"I never made such a note," Grand Empress Dowager stated. The lines of deep furrows were evident on her forehead.

"Your Majesty, the Crown Prince has claimed that you are pretending to be hurt. It's all in the note. It is authentic since your royal seal is present at the note's bottom," the maidservant whispered.

Grand Empress Dowager was unable to understand what exactly happened in the court. She never created any note, then how did it appear out of the blue?

"Eunuch Yang is on his way to check on Her Majesty," the maidservant informed her further.

"Tell outside that I have gained consciousness," Grand Empress Dowager told her and furrowed her brows together. She needed to come up with something soon, but in such a short time, nothing came to her mind.
