She pushed him away. "Xianwu, no more teasing," she cautioned, observing his amused smile directed at her. 

"What did I do?" Xianwu acted innocent, keeping the smirk on his lips.

 "Act like a noble man not an immoral one," she scolded him. 

"I believe in acting immorally around you," Xianwu remarked.  

Jia Li shot a glance at him. 

"Don't look at me with that gaze. It gives me an invitation to do more with you," Xianwu said.

Revenge Of The Crown Princess

When Fengming arrived home, he heard the servants gossip. They all shut their mouths as soon as they saw Fengming, looking at them with quizzical glances.

Fengming felt that something was wrong when he rushed to his mother's room. He asked the maidservant if his mother was in her room before entering it. Lady Huilin quickly wiped the tears from her eyes using the handkerchief in her hand before Fengming could notice that.

"Mother, are you alright?" Fengming's feet slowly halted in front of his mother, who was present in the sitting area, close to the window.

Fengming sensed his mother lied to him. "Please tell me," he urged. The only thing he didn't wish to hear was that his mother knew about Jin Liang's adultery.

Lady Huilin fiddled with her fingers wondering how she should tell about her husband's affair to her son. If she would lie, then how long would she keep the truth hidden?

The Second Wife
