She pushed him away. "Xianwu, no more teasing," she cautioned, observing his amused smile directed at her. 

"What did I do?" Xianwu acted innocent, keeping the smirk on his lips.

 "Act like a noble man not an immoral one," she scolded him. 

"I believe in acting immorally around you," Xianwu remarked.  

Jia Li shot a glance at him. 

"Don't look at me with that gaze. It gives me an invitation to do more with you," Xianwu said.

Revenge Of The Crown Princess

Fengming used the back of his fingers to wipe the tears from Mei Xin's face. "I am sorry for the last night. I was in not in my senses," he asserted.

"Men are never in their senses. Let me go of this house," Mei Xin asked.

"If I do that, you'll definitely die painfully. I will make sure no one harms you," Fengming assured her. But Mei Xin wasn't ready to hear him.

"I don't trust any of you," Mei Xin proclaimed openly, her words laced with accusation. "You all want to kill me."

Her accusatory stare pierced through Fengming, leaving him feeling despondent and disheartened. If his sister's in-laws had treated her in the same fashion, he would have ensured severe punishment for them. Regardless of the circumstances, he couldn't bear to see his wife suffer. Mei Xin had married him to avoid marrying Jin Liang, indicating her unwillingness in that marriage as well.
