She pushed him away. "Xianwu, no more teasing," she cautioned, observing his amused smile directed at her. 

"What did I do?" Xianwu acted innocent, keeping the smirk on his lips.

 "Act like a noble man not an immoral one," she scolded him. 

"I believe in acting immorally around you," Xianwu remarked.  

Jia Li shot a glance at him. 

"Don't look at me with that gaze. It gives me an invitation to do more with you," Xianwu said.

<p>"I'm sorry, Fengming, for taking you as the villain. Last night I said a lot to you. I should have remained quiet knowing my status," Mei Xin was apologetic for not understanding Fengming's side of the story. She lowered her head in guilt and waited for his response. </p>

<p>"I don't know about your former status. But your current status is enough for you to get angry at me. Even my questions were not nice. I am aware how much difficult it is for a woman to survive in an inn," Fengming said in his humble tone. He had a soft heart from a young age. He would not be able to see the injustice around him and always tried to be righteous. </p>
