"Xianwu, Jia Li is now fine. At least, drink some water," Empress Mingxia softly said. "She will wake up in a while," he asserted. 

"Your Majesty, I am fine," Xianwu said. His face looked pale and full of concern. He then felt that more than him the Empress must be worried for her daughter. "Forgive me for not being able to protect her from the attack," he said with disappointment on his face. 

"Don't say that, Xianwu. You have done a lot for us, for my daughter. What she did today was to save you. She loves you a lot. Now, she's fine and she will soon wake up too," Empress Mingxia consoled him. 

"I understand," Xianwu said and stood up from his place. "You should also rest for some time. It's already past midnight. I will see the Royal Mother outside," he asserted. 

"I'll go by myself. Stay with Jia Li. Her father is too devastated. I need to be by his side," Empress Mingxia stated.
