The Princess’s Bittersweet Marriage to a Doting Commander

First light of dawn casts its glow over the city, painting the sky in soft pastels. A thick fog hangs in the distance, shrouding the surroundings in a hazy veil. The main force of the Northland Army has already departed for the capital, leaving thousands behind to guard the city.

At the top of the watchtower, Yisu, Captain Kahn, the Left General, Lady Leya, and Aina peer into the horizon, searching for any sign of Anakin. The air is cold and damp, and their breaths form small clouds that quickly dissolve in the fog.

"There!" Captain Kahn exclaims, his finger stabbing towards a dark shape emerging from the mist. "Someone's approaching!"

The others lean against the parapet, squinting to discern who Captain Kahn has seen. As they strain their eyes, a figure emerges, riding a horse through the fog.

"Anakin," Lady Leya breathes, her voice filled with immense relief.
