Two nights a week and scents of dreams

Gabriel

"Twice a week, come to the pond and I will find you," Lucas tells me and this is the most stupid thing I have ever done.

"I will not be caught dead at your community," I tell him arrogantly.

He laughs "Oh please, your scent will give you in the second you walk into the gates," he chuckles leaving me confused.

"Then how is this supposed to fucking work. How do we do this without being seen."

I pick up the bag that Lucas brought with him. The one that has the piece of clothing. The reason why i was even patient enough to listen to him and his shit.

"You know, I thought tracking was one of your greatest gifts and here you are unable to figure out who the shirt belongs to."

I roll my eyes because he is being his douchey self again "If you think you can do it better, why don't you."

I toss the bag to him and he laughs, obviously enjoying the reaction he is getting from me. I hate this man so much, that the more we have conversations, the more it physically hurts.

"Take the shirt with you, maybe without me and my distracting scent, you can figure something out," he takes a step towards me and I roll my eyes.

"There is nothing distracting about you. You are the last person that could ever distract me."

He smiles and I see that annoying smirk on his face again. "Are you sure about that?" he reaches for me and I want to prove him wrong and pull away but I have become such a weak man for his touch.

I let him pull me in and he kisses me deeply. I cant help but moan as his hands roam over my body, igniting fire within me. This man is dangerous, and I know I should stay away from him but i cant resist him.

"I hate you."

"I know," he replies, a mischievous glint in his eyes. "You also like when I fuck you."

I push him away, trying to regain some sense of control. "This is just a minor lapse of judgement and I will come to my sense pretty soon."

He laughs "Sure you will."

I glare at him, but deep down, I know he's right. I can't deny the attraction I feel towards him.

"Take the shirt and figure out who it belongs to," he says, handing me the bag. "And meet me at the pond in two days. We'll continue where we left off."

I take the bag from him, not sure what to

say. He is smiling and I think that this might be the most I have ever enjoyed his presence. I hate the way my body responds to him when he is touching me. I hate how he is egging me on and I hate how I am giving into his advances.

"Twice a week, Blackwood. If you don't come, I will find you." he tells me and then he leaves.

I stand here for a long time, thinking of the mistakes I have made and the ones I am about to make. I might regret this, I might hate myself for this later but right now, I don't care.

Because I need him.

We need to find out who the Nightshade Syndicate are and what they want from my pack.

I get back to the compound and I am greeted by Calio, one of the omegas in the pack. Calio is just sixteen and he is one of the most respectable members of my pack.

Cal usually likes to stay by my side. I take him with me when I go for hunts. I hep him stand in the pack.

"Hello Alpha" he walks beside me and into the mains house with me.

"I need your help with something, do you want to help your Alpha tonight?"

His eyes glow and I see the eagerness in them. Cal's parents died in a hunting trip a couple of years back and I have been as close to a parental figure to him. Being an omega is tough in the werewolf community.

He is as strong as he can be--and it is mostly because he stays by my side.

I lead him to the war room. It is a room in the main house that is protected from the outside world. This is the room where the children and women of the pack would be safest, if there was ever an attack.

This is the room where scents don't linger.

"Why are we in here Alpha," Cal asks me, curiosity in his eyes.

I manage a smile, "So have you heard of the attacks?"

He nods, "Everyone has been talking about it. They say it is the syndicate."

I smile, I knew that things would get out. The community I have built is one that has no secrets.

Well except for this big secret that involves Blackwood and his stupid pack.

"Good, how would you feel being my side as we unravel what the hell is going on?"

His eyes open wide. In instances like this, Elijah is the one that should be by my side and he will be but Cal has no judgement and I need to handle this the way I know how to.

"I would give my life for you Alpha."

I smile "Thank you Calio, but we are not doing anything stupid. You are not in danger."

He nods as I pull out the shirt. "You know what the scents of dreams are?" I ask him.

He nods.

Everyone knows what the scent of dreams are but not everyone has the ability.

Dreams are one of the greatest gifts but it is also one of the most dangerous too. If I channel all my power to see the story behind the shirt, I could end up getting lost.

I need Calio to make sure that doesn't happen.
