The break away from everything and owning him

Lucas

I put on a fresh pair of shorts and a plain black tee and we enter my car. I take a deep breath as the doors close.

We are in the same space again.

And we are alone.

We have a lot to talk about.

I have a lot to unpack and I don't even know how to do that.

I start the car, the engine's low purr filling the silence between us. As I pull out of the secluded cabin, I can feel the weight of unspoken words and unresolved emotions hanging in the air. There's so much we need to address, so much that's been left unsaid between us.

"I'm glad you're okay," I reply, my grip on the steering wheel tightening slightly. It's a simple sentiment, but it carries with it the weight of everything we've been through. There's so much more to discuss, but for now, I'm content with the fact that we're together and safe.

He smiles "You saved me Lucas; you are my hero."
