We get back to the pack and my insides are tangled.

I don't know how to face the members of my pack. Maybe that is why I have been staling. My patrollers were hurt the last time I was here, and I disappeared without a trace.

I am supposed to be the leader but these days, I feel like I am second to everyone. I don't know if I am capable of protecting everyone.

"You don't have anything to be worried about baby," Lucas tells me as he parks the car in front of my gates.

"I am not worried," I roll my eyes even though I am lying.
