27: Checking the Prey in Person

As the night unfolds the moon in the sky, Sabrina rests in her penthouse bedroom without noticing that she was left alone in the deepest of the night. ICE went for her hunt and check her target personally. Somewhere around the city proper, she already got her eyes on her prey and pretend to be a little tipsy.

"Oh sorry, my bad." ICE apologized in a tipsy manner.

"It's nothing but are you okay, miss?" the man and her prey asked worriedly about her. ICE inhaled his scent as she pretend to be tipsy.

"Obviously, I'm fine. Can you take me to the nearest cafe here? I need my black coffee." ICE hiccupped a little when she asked for directions.

"Oh, sure. You know you shouldn't be alone in the middle of the night." the man smirked but ICE already could tell what he had on his mind.

'What hot babe landed into me.'

"Prevert." ICE thought to her mind when she heard it.

"They should be afraid of me instead." ICE winked while sinisterly grinning and it was making the man to shiver.

"And why is that?" the man waved the shiver that he felt there and curiously asked her instead.

"I'm deadly at night." ICE winked while they walked on the sidewalk and she was playing like a drunk teenager.

"Can I see how deadly you are?" the man lustfully wink at her to which ICE really wanted to choke his neck till he died but instead, she just chuckle and went straight to the point.

"Nope, you're not my type plus…I don't do guys. Sorry." ICE leaned as if she was going to kiss him but no. She just chuckled teasing him but deep inside she wanted to throw up about her gesture.

"So you're into girls? Lesbian or just bi?" he guessed.

"Never limit myself to loving someone but maybe I'm fully into girls since I'm easily attracted to them. When it comes to men, I'm very picky." ICE shrugged her shoulders before laughing.

"So are you single?" he really wanted to get into her pants and ICE sensed that already.

"Nope, fully taken. I just had an argument and get something to drink…" ICE reasoned just to make him stay away from her in the right distance.

"Then can I change your taste even just for tonight?" ICE flinched when the man went closer to her and grabbed her waist as he whispered that to her.

"Flirt. Nope, I'm loyal and I'm really into guys and had my ideal type…you're not that man, so, politely pass." ICE put her hand over his chest and pulled away from his grip then went straight to the point as they stop in front of a shop where she was pretending to look for.

"Your straightforward, I like it and it makes me want to taste you." he flirty chuckled and ICE rolled her eyes as she decline again.

"Sorry, not available. Oh, thanks for showing me this cafe." She said and saw the cafe to which a familiar lady was coming their way.

"Sex will be enough payment for it." He said and was about to pull ICE but she already made a step closer to the cafe.

"Let's have sex in your dreams." ICE said as she wanted to gag to what she was saying.

"I want it now." He pressed as he was about to grab her hand when another hand came.

"Figured." ICE smirked knowingly that Lexie was already beside her.

"Babe, what took you so long to come back here?" Lexie worriedly asked and it made the man confused. ICE told him that they had an argument but it seems not like it. It was not it all - it was just a game that ICE needs to play against her prey.

"Tipsy and almost forgot the way back here." ICE was playing with Lexie's collar since she was playing tipsy.

"And him?" Lexie glared at the man behind ICE.

"Flirty man who's kind enough to take me here." ICE glanced and smirked as she snuggled into Lexie's arms. The man was getting annoyed at how ICE smirked at him.

"Fliryt man huh…did he take advantage of you, babe?" Lexie glared at the man but cupped ICE's face worriedly.

"Almost. He asked for sex as payment for showing me this place." ICE pouted like a child which made Lexie smile but when she turned to the man, Lexie was fuming.

"YOU! HOW DARE YOU SPEAK THAT WAY TO A WEAK LADY?! I WILL SUE YOU FOR HARRASSING MY GIRL." Lexie shouted in the madness that made the man flinch and almost lose his balance.

"I-I'm not, just flirting." the man tried to defend himself but Lexie won't buy it.

"NOT GONNA BUY IT! LEAVE BEFORE I CALL COPS SINCE THEY WERE JUST AROUND THE CORNER." Lexie warned him.

"Whatever, she's yours." he scoffed and dashed off when Lexie threw a flower pot in front of him.

When he was fully gone, ICE stood up straight and composed while Lexie released a heavy sigh. She went inside the cafe that she owned and they went to the private booth to talk about what just happened there.

"Wew, that was fun. So what did you get?" Lexie commented while grinning.

"A lot." ICE sighed but she was smirking.

"Just one scent you already know about him." Lexie winked at her and handed a piece of paper for her to write what she got.

ICE's note:

Marlon Marlow was not just into drugs, smuggling firearms, and money laundering…he's addicted to sex…at PSClub.

"Do you think he was after lady's blossom?" Lexie read it and wondered the reason why he was lurking around the main hotel of Marques lately.

"As if I'm gonna let him do that. Let's see what steps he will do against my woman." ICE grinned evilly which made Lexie shiver.

"Yikes, you're being a possessive vampire there." Lexie chuckled as she pointed out what she sounded like there.

"Whatever, where's my frappe?" ICE rolled her eyes and asked for her frappe. Lexie waved her hand to her barista and gave her reserved order.

"Here you go. I'm going to inform Earl about him but we need more evidence so he won't escape from it." Lexie gave the frapped to her and told her about gathering more evidence to pin their prey down so he won't be able to bail out.

"Don't worry I will ask somebody from the mafia about him." ICE said after taking a sip from her frappe and smirking grimly. Lexie sighed because she knew that whenever ICE decided on something, she cannot be stopped especially when Sabrina's life and safety were involved in it.

"Okay be careful on doing that. So, let's continue our coffee date." Lexie smile proudly at how ICE grew on using her vampire side wisely before teasing her at the same time.

"Ha-ha, very funny, Lexie." ICE faked a laugh at her tease.

"What? That's what it looks like." Lexie winked teasingly and ICE just sighed while showing the papers to her.

"We're talking business here." ICE pointed seriously but Lexie was just giggling because she was annoyed at her.

After their talk at the cafe, ICE went out to the back door and drove her deep red Ducati Daivel V4 back to the hotel. As soon as she parked the motorbike at the hotel's Exclusive VIP garage, she received a notification from her lady.

"Yikes, she's awake." ICE jolted when she learned that the text was from her lover.

She didn't wait any more moment and just rush there without removing her helmet. She quickly used the fire exit than using the elevator. Even though their room was on the top and last floor of the hotel, she was fast enough to reach it without sweating - she was a vampire.

"Did I wake you up?" ICE asked Sabrina as soon as she opened her hotel room door.

"Obviously, why didn't you leave a note where are you going?" Sabrina was glaring as she went to the living space of the penthouse.

"Sorry, Lexie just called me and…" ICE tried to explain but she mentioned a certain name that Sabrina was totally jealous of.

"LEXIE?! WHY YOU'RE GOING TO BE WITH HER THIS LATE? ARE YOU CHEATING ON ME?!" Sabrina snapped when she heard Lexie's name being mentioned.

"Oh man, I forgot that she's jealous of her." ICE thought to herself with a heavy sigh.

"No, why would I cheat when my life is you? Plus, Lexie is your lawyer and she just gave me an input about Mr. Marlow." ICE explained clearly and directly to her.

"You better not be cheating or I'll cut those." Sabrina warned as she looked over ICE's chest that she automatically covered for defense.

"She's serious about cutting my boobies." ICE sighed to her mind.

"I won't cheat on you when you are more to important than my life." ICE went to her side and hold her in her arms which softened Sabrina. It was calming her down.

"Caine, don't speak like you are going to die any moment without me knowing it. I won't like it at all." Sabrina sighed as she looked deeply into ICE's deep ocean eyes. ICE smiled because she knew that Sabrina will be overly protective mate if something bad happened to her. So much like her but Sabrina could be worse since she had never seen her mad - really mad at all.

"I will try but I can't promise that danger won't find me since its my line of work." ICE honestly told her how dangerous being a personal bodyguard and something else in the middle of the night.
