After graduating with a Master's degree in Forensic Anthropology at the age of 16, she became the youngest professor of Anthropology in the history of A University and moonlighted as a consultant for the local and national police forces. All in all, she was a highly intelligent girl with her entire future in front of her.

But she would live her life on her terms, even if she was facing a 7-foot warrior species that specialized in killing. Nothing would stand in her way.

Star's Ships

What the Sisalik did or did not do was important. They mattered less to him than a milingona meant to a zilonis.

His pet needed to be fed. Despite what Ye'tab had said, Au'dtair hadn't seen any sign of the ship taking care of Mei Xing, well, besides providing shelter. If he were feeling generous, he would admit that the ship was also providing food, but his pet would still have to remember to order it.

No, this ship didn't know how to take care of a pet at all. It almost treated Mei Xing as a fellow AI that occupied the same space but didn't have any needs. That must be why she appeared on such a hostile planet. If the ship was used to species like the Sisalik whose very skin acted as armor and were used to living in places like the jungle, then it wouldn't have thought twice to drop his pet there, thinking that she could do the same thing.
