Not A Helpless Human

I watched as a smaller ship appeared out of nowhere beside us. "That is them," said Jun Li, splitting the screen between the 'battle' and Midnight's ship. "They are asking to be able to land in one of the docking bays."

"Fine," I answered. "But let them know that they are to stay in their ship. Only Midnight is allowed onboard." I still wasn't 100% certain that Midnight wouldn't try to kill me because of the physical change and bond that I had inadvertently pushed on him. It was best not to invite more trouble.

"He is asking to bring his first officer," came Jun Li, relaying the message.

"Fine, but tell them to hurry their asses up. We are already behind our promised time to show up, and I don't want the other end to get twitchy," I said, studying the formations of the other ships. If it came down to it, I knew that we could blow fifteen of them out of the water, but I didn't want to lose the supplies on board.
