Chapter 3 – AITA

Third person POV

A few hours later, Kichi woke up, only to find out that he can't move his body freely, and instead, his body was strapped to a hospital bed in a well-lit room so he could not escape. A doctor was there jotting down some notes about his current state on his clipboard.

He was panicking, thinking, "Wait a minute, hospitals don't usually do that to patients!"

Upon hearing his struggles, the doctor put his clipboard aside and went to him, saying, "You had woken up, Sasaki-san."

Upon hearing that, Kichi looked at him and asked, "W-Who are you? Are you going to hurt me?"

Smiling at him in response, the doctor replied, "Don't worry, I won't hurt you. You're safe and sound."

"What is this? Am I in a mental hospital or something?"

"No, you are in an infirmary of a school."

"A school?"

Meanwhile, at the office of the head of AITA, the head, a middle-aged man named Hayato Akira was giving Haru a harsh scolding for causing chaos at the airport.

"I'm sorry, sir," Haru apologized in response.

Slamming his fist on the desk, Hayato responded, "You could've put this organization on fire because of this! I can't believe I had to explain to the media about this."

"I'm sorry, it's just, my emotions are intertwined with my ability," Haru tried his best to explain why. "My dark memories really controlled me."

Sighing in stress, Hayato replied back, "Not again. I think your father needs to keep a close eye on you for a while."

"Okay, I'll accept any punishment you will give to me," Haru responded back.

"No, you're off the hook this time," Hayato replied back. "Good thing our men managed to neutralize your pesky insect drones."

"Yes, they did, but Kichi Vista-Sasaki is now safe and sound."

"Good, you may go now."

With that, Haru turned around and left the office, opening and closing the glass door.

Simultaneously, Kiba and his men are looking through Kichi's belongings, including his travel documents and journals. The table was a mess, with papers, notebooks, and other personal belongings scattered around.

"Look for any identification that might have a connection with the Red Bullet," Kiba said to them.

Then, one of his men, found Kichi's journal from 10 years ago and started reading it, before finding an entry that confirms Kichi's relations with the Red Bullet.

"Sir, I think this is it," he said to Kiba.

"What is it then?" Kiba asked back.

"It says that Red Bullet is his father," that man responded back as he shows the said handwritten entry in Japanese to Kiba.

Reading it, Kiba was surprised to see that, and he thought, "So that means that kid is his son?"

After that thought, Kiba said to that man, "Okay, thank you. Keep it safe, alongside his travel documents and passports. He might need them in the future."

His men did so, and they kept everything on the table well-organized.

Back at the infirmary, Kichi suddenly remembered his purpose of going to Japan: To check out a potential school for his senior high school education.

"Wait a minute, I supposed to check out a school after I received a letter from a mysterious organization that offers tuition-free education," Kichi said to the doctor.

"Oh, you had received that letter from my master?" the doctor replied back.

"The one who sent it is your master?" Kichi asked back.

"Yes, and his name is Kiba Takao," replied the doctor back. "He is one of our organization's best assassins."

"Oh, okay," Kichi understood the first part, before being shocked at the rest, commenting, "Wait, what? He's an assassin?!"

Then, in time, Kiba came in and asked the doctor, "How's Kichi, doc?"

Upon noticing that, the doctor responded back, "He seems to healthy and responsive, Kiba-san."

With that, Kiba looked at Kichi and asked, "So, you're Kichi Vista-Sasaki, am I right?"

"Uh, yes, I am," Kichi responded back in unease.

"How old are you?"

"I'm 16 years old."

"Wow, a bit young to travel alone."

"I had permission to travel independently without an adult because of my supernatural ability."

"Oh, what is that then?"

"It's called Danger Sensation."

"Wow, what a rare ability it was."

"It was?"

"Yes, and only a handful of people have that ability."

"I see."

With that, Kiba removed the straps so Kichi would move his body freely.

"Why am I doing here?" Kichi asked after stretching for a bit and sitting down. "I supposed to check out a school after I received a letter from a mysterious organization."

"Well, did you?" Kiba asked back positively.

"Yes, and it offers free education, and –"

"This is it. This will be your school and home from now on."

"What? Really? Is this the organization who sent that letter to me?"

"Yes, and you can go now. Escape all you want for a different school."

"Are you sure about that?"

"Yes, go on. Go to me if you change your mind."

He then left the room.

"You should go now," the doctor responded to this.

"Oh, right," Kichi replied back, before standing up and dashed out of the room and into the labyrinth-like hallway.
