Chapter 5 – The Entrance Exam

Kichi's pov

Later, after climbing a flight of stairs, I took a right turn, only to see a windowed room, and I knocked on the door 2 times.

Then, a voice answered back, "Come in."

I then opened the door, and Kiba was there, the same man who talked to me at the hospital-like room.

"So, you decided to join this school?" Kiba asked as he was standing next to a desk.

"Yes," I responded back boldly, "and you're the one who sent that letter to me, right?"

"Yes, in my leader's behalf."

"I'll take entrance exam then."

"Okay, that'll be including 10 languages and some basic math, geography, science, and history. Are you ready for that?"

I then nodded seriously. "Yes, I am."

"Good. You have to answer those exam papers in or less than 1 hour," Kiba responded. "I'll be back."

He then walked to the doorway.

"Okay, I'll do it," I replied back with determination.

With that Kiba shut the door, and I eventually started the timer and sat down, before examining the exam papers first one by one.

But, I saw that there are words from 10 foreign languages, including Japanese, English, Vietnamese, and Tagalog, as well as French and Spanish. After that, the rest are basic subjects from elementary and middle school levels.

"Those questions are so easy for me," I thought to myself while thinking about the possible answers. "Good thing my online education really helps me to be prepared in situations like this."

I then grabbed a pencil and started answering the questions printed on the papers one by one in speed.

Yeah, when I was young, after I readjusted my life in the Philippines, I started to watch educational videos on the internet in addition to my normal schooling. I am also smart and intelligent in using some words and terms. This is why I managed to go to an international school in Vietnam when I finished my elementary education. I almost had full scores in my exams across all previous levels. But, I don't brag about my intelligence because in my view and perspective, it's not good at all, and my family considered that as not good.

10 minutes had passed, and I am done with the examination. I spent the remaining minutes by spinning my pencil with my fingers and fidgeting. Since I didn't have my phone, I had limited options.

Then, the timer rang, and the door was opened, and Kiba entered in to pick up my exam papers.

"So, did you answer them?" he asked me while examining the papers.

"Yes," I answered back.

"How long?"

"If I remember correctly, it's 10 minutes."

My response really shocked him a lot.

But what he was shocked the most is the answers to the questions themselves.

He then looked at me and said, "How did you…? But, how?"

Knowing what he supposed to say, I briefly and calmly responded, "I had a habit of watching online educational videos in my free time instead of playing most of the time."

"I see," Kiba replied. "You may leave and proceed to the courtyard to see your results."

"Oh, okay. Where is that?"

"Just go to the left from here, before you go downstairs to the first floor and turned to the right until you see the exit there."

"Okay then."

I then stand up and left the white room, following his instructions.

I guessed he wanted to test my knowledge even though in my view, it's like child's play to me.
