YOKED TO A BILLIONAIRE BY VENNEH LISAH

"Understood." Lucky was about to order Carol's cousin to be taken away when she suddenly screamed, "No! Uncle Tarique Junior save me!"

"Wait!" Tarique Junior hurried over and stood in front of Carol's cousin. "She's my niece and is also Carol's assistant. She might be stubborn at times but she does not harbor any ill intention."

"I don't care who she is!" Violla bellowed. "Even if it's you, I will kill you without hesitation when it comes to my children!"

"You…" Tarique Junior's face reddened in anger.

"Uncle Tarique Junior, save me. I don't want to die." Carol's cousin burst into tears.

"Davon, say something." Tarique Junior looked desperately at Davon. "We came here to help. And now, we're being harassed by outsiders. What's the meaning of this?"

Davon responded with indifference.

"Fine." Tarique Junior took out his phone. "Since you don't care, I'll get Mr. Old Roman to judge."

"Fine." Finally, Davon spoke and gestured to Cruze.

Cruze ordered men to take Carol's cousin and the two nurses who fed Eliana out.

"Uncle Tarique Junior, Uncle…" Carol's cousin cried in defiance.

"Enough, shut up," Tarique Junior snapped.

He knew that Davon would at least show them mercy on D'barl's account. If he continued to argue, they might not even get the chance.

"Are you going to let her go just like that?" Lucky couldn't accept it. "At the very least, shouldn't she be interrogated?"

Violla stared intently at Davon with mixed emotions, but she chose to trust his actions.

"That's the end of the matter. No one is allowed to say anything else," Davon warned. Next, he turned to Tarique Junior. "Mr. Tarique Junior, it's been a long day for you. I think you should go home and rest now."

"I have been planning to do that since the beginning," Tarique Junior replied awkwardly, "It's just that I was supposed to take Carol to see Mr. Old Roman."

Tarique Junior was smart. He knew Carol would have a difficult time with Violla there. Hence, he wanted to take her with him.

"I'll let Mr. Douglas know that Carol can't make it today," Davon plainly answered. "Grandpa's condition is stable. It's Eliana who is in danger now."

"That's true." Tarique Junior nodded. "Or else, why don't I wait for her to be done with Eliana before leaving together?"

"Now that Eliana depends on her for treatment , I can't allow her to leave." Davon gave Tarique Junior a thoughtful look.

"But…" Just when Tarique Junior was in a dilemma, one of the nurses approached them, "Mr. Tarique Junior, Miss Carol says that you should go on home first. She will stay back to look after Eliana."

"All right." Left without a choice, he probed, "Now that her assistant and the others are gone, do you need me to arrange for more help?"

"I'll get Immaculate to come with her people. You don't have to worry about it." At his signal, Davon's men came to escort Tarique Junior out.

"In that case, I'll take my leave first. Please watch over Carol while she's here."

After looking at Violla with a worried expression, Tarique Junior anxiously recovered his gaze.

"Don't worry, this is the Roman residence." Davon shot a glance at Violla.

"That's a relief." Right after he finished, Tarique Junior left without hesitation.

"Davon, how brazen of you. Do you think just because this is your home, I wouldn't dare do a thing?" Violla threatened in anger. "Once I decide to kill someone, you won't be able to stop me."

"I know how powerful you are," Davon patiently pacified, "but given how sick Eliana is, why don't we talk about it once her condition has stabilized?"

Violla found that he had a point. It wasn't the right time to let her temper flare.

"Get Immaculate here at once," Davon instructed Collins.

"Right away." Collins went off to make a call.

"Let's wait upstairs." Davon gestured for her to move ahead. Going upstairs together, both of them arrived outside Eliana's room.

At that moment, Carol was treating Eliana with the assistance of her medical staff.Belly and another four bodyguards were watching them closely.

Carol was no longer as calm as usual. Sweating profusely, her hands were shaking as she worked.

Violla furrowed her eyebrows when she saw what was happening. Davon entered the room and reminded, "Steady yourself. You must cure Eliana."

Turning to give him a look, Carol felt as if she was reinvigorated and continued her treatment.

"Will this really work?" Lucky asked softly.

'Do we have no choice but to place our hopes on Carol now?' Violla told herself

"She's puking it out, she's puking it out!" Belly's excited voice rang out .

When Violla ran forward, she saw Eliana puking a mouthful of contaminated blood. After that, she started crying out loud.

As for Carol, she collapsed butt first onto the floor with her forehead drenched in sweat. She was terrified the entire time.If she didn't manage to cure Eliana , Violla would definitely have her head.

"Eliana…" Davon went up to hug her. He gently comforted, "Don't be afraid. Daddy's here."

"Mommy, I want Mommy." Eliana reached out her hand and cried out for Violla.

Violla walked up at once and held Eliana's hand. "Mommy is here."

"Mommy." Eliana threw herself into Violla's arms and hugged her neck tightly. "Mommy, don't go. Don't leave me alone."

"Mommy, why don't you stay?" Jason hugged Violla's leg and refused to let go. With tears streaming down his cheeks, he pleaded, "We feel miserable without you here."

Davon was stumped. The children were making it sound as if they were being abused at home.

"You're a terrible father." Just as expected, Violla glared angrily at Davon.

"I…" Davon didn't know what to say.

"Mommy, please stay back. At least wait till Eliana gets better before you leave." Tugging at Violla's sleeve, Ryan suggested, "What if something happens to Eliana while you're gone?"

"I'll take all of you back with me," Violla declared.

"Stop messing around." Davon stopped her at once. "Can't you see how sick Eliana is? Why are you being so persistent?"

"Davon…"

"For the children's sake, why don't you just stay for the time being?" Davon was close to pleading. "As for the rest, we'll discuss them later."

Carol felt anxious when she heard Davon's request. Despite tugging at his sleeves, he simply ignored her.

Violla hesitated briefly. Although she didn't feel like staying, she couldn't allow Eliana to take any more risks.

Her priority was for Eliana to recover. Since she couldn't find Dr. Felix who had relocated since he got healed, so she had no choice but to rely on Carol.

However, if Carol decided to mess around, Eliana would be in real danger. Hence, she knew she couldn't take the risk.

With that thought in mind, Violla finally compromised. "Fine, I'll stay here for a few days until Eliana recovers."

"That's wonderful." Davon was delighted. He ordered Cruze at once, "Prepare the rooms, including those for the bodyguards."

"Right away." With that, Cruze conveyed the message to the head maid.

"Daddy, you look very happy." Jason looked at Davon in shock. "You're even smiling."

"Are you sure?" Davon collected himself quickly.

Violla rolled her eyes at him and asserted, "Out with the rest of you. I'll stay here with Eliana"

"I want to stay with Eliana too...."

"Out!"

"Okay." Before Davon could finish, Violla yelled for him to go out.

Everyone was stunned by what they saw. No one expected the fearless Davon to actually be afraid of Violla. At the same time, Carol's face turned pale as she lost the composure she used to have.

She had to go through so much trouble before being allowed to stay by Davon's side as his daughter's doctor.

But now, Violla was allowed to move in with a random excuse. Furthermore, Davon treated her as an exclusive guest. He made it look as if the villa was her home.

At the rate things were going, Carol's dream of becoming Mrs. Roman was slowly slipping away. However, she realized that she might now have difficulty staying, let alone continue with her plan.

"Dr. Carol, this way please." Lucky ushered her. As Carol walked out with her head hung low, her staff left together with her.

With no outsiders in the room, the children surrounded Violla and shouted jubilantly, "Mommy! This is wonderful. You're finally home!"

"I'm only here for the time being," Violla explained. "I need to personally watch over Eliana given how sick she is. By the time she recovers, I'll...."

"We'll talk about it when the time comes." Jason waved his hand and brazenly declared, "Perhaps, by the time Eliana is well, you won't want to leave anymore."

"Mmm-hmm, that's right." Ryan nodded with a smile.

"I don't care. All I want is mommy here with me." Eliana threw herself into Violla's embrace and hugged her tightly. "With Mommy around, I'm not afraid of anything."

"Good girl, Eliana." Violla gently stroked Eliana's hair. "With me here, no one will dare to harm you."

"Mommy, why don't you sleep in my room?" Snuggling up in Violla's arms, Eliana refused to let go. "All I want is to be able to hug you every day."

"All right." Violla kissed her on her forehead. "I'll stay with you."

"What about me?" Jason was jealous. "I want Mommy too."

"You're a boy and an elder brother," Ryan reminded him sternly. "Why are you competing with Eliana over this?"

"It's not that," Jason quickly explained. "I'm not trying to compete with her. I just… forget it, I'm just happy that I can see Mommy every day."

"Be good. Once Eliana has recovered, I'll spend more time with both of you," Violla reassured them.

The villa suddenly busted into life as everyone tried to make Violla and her staff feel at home under Davon's orders.

As the staff at the Roman residence didn't like Carol and her staff, they quickly formed a bond with the Landiana family staff.

It didn't take long for the head maid to be on good terms with Lucky. Meanwhile, Lucy sighed aloud and commented that the villa felt different now that the real lady of the house was back.Obviously, she had said it just to spite Carol.

At that moment, everyone in the house ignored Carol as if she was invisible. In fact, she was even resented by many of them.

The Tariques had brought eight medical staff. Now that three had been kicked out, there were still five left. They too were ignored. When Carol returned to the room with a grim expression, the five of them quickly approached her.

"Miss Carol, why don't we go home? Since, these people don't like us, staying here will just cause them to resent us."

"Exactly. Even the maids dislike us. Despite doing so much, they don't appreciate us at all. So, why should we stay here and suffer?"

"Now that his wife is back with such fanfare, I'm afraid it might be troublesome for you to stay back given how powerful she is....."

Before the nurse could finish, Carol gave her a slap.Filled with rage, she put all her strength into it.Even though the nurse's cheek was swollen red with a clear palm print on it, she lowered her head and didn't dare make a sound. Gritting her teeth, tears gradually rolled down her cheeks.

Carol raised her chin in an intimidating manner so that she could look her in the eye. After that, she signed angrily, "Listen well. I paid all of you so much to work for me. Even if you need to suffer, so be it!"

"Yes ma'am!" the medical staff meekly replied.

"The Landianas and the Romans are mortal enemies. Davon won't want to get together with Violla. Even if he does, we can rely on Mr. Old Roman to stop them." Carol continued to sign, "I know what I must do and don't need any of your stupid opinions and concern."

"Yes ma'am, we understand." All the medical staff were frightened of her.

At that moment, Carol looked savage and was entirely different from her gentle demeanor.

"Mind your words and stop spewing nonsense." She signed, "Just do whatever I tell you to. If you hear anything useful, let me know at once, and you will be handsomely rewarded."

"Yes ma'am." They nodded in acknowledgment.

"Get out now," Carol ordered.

After the staff walked out, Carol was the only one left in the room. With her cousin gone, she felt exhausted. All she was left with was a useless bunch who weren't much help at all.

Nevertheless, Carol wasn't going to admit defeat.

'Given how much trouble I have gone through to stay in the Roman residence and hold an important position by Davon's side, it will be a shame to give up now. Violla is just too strong, there's no way I can challenge her successfully. What should I do?'

Just as she was pondering upon it, her phone suddenly rang. She quickly answered as it was Tarique Junior on video.

"Carol, how are you? Did Violla harass you?" Tarique Junior asked anxiously.

"What do you think?" Carol rubbed her neck. The mark from Violla's grip was still visible. She was almost strangled to death.
