Maybe it's a new start

One of the scariest moments in my life, that fear of losing her filled my eyes. I'm not ready to face this now, how would I lose her after getting addicted to her?

Running in the streets trying to find Kate when people think I'm crazy but it was the last thing I should care about.

For a moment I remembered the first place we met, that building. I headed to the building, I looked around and unfortunately she wasn't there. I sat on the edge of the roof and waited for her but it had been hours since I came here. I didn't feel that the time was passing so quickly because I spent that time remembering our memories.

To be honest I never expected to be hurt from memories, especially the good ones. That cute smile she used to have and her warm vibes she used to give, these are all gone.

I recognized that she wouldn't come so I had to leave. I left that building while tears were running out of my eyes. I didn't know what to do or how to act at that moment.

I was on the way back home when I saw a familiar girl crossing the road.

"Wait" I mumbled.

I ran towards her, and yes it was Kate.

She looked at me and then she continued walking While I was begging her not to leave me.

"Kate please!" I said while sobbing.

She stopped and turned to look at me as she rushed to hug me.

Hugging her tight when her scent filled my shirt was all I needed.

We went to the playground we had gone to before and kept talking for hours. She was talking about how cute the kids were but I interrupted her saying "Will you ever leave me again?"

"Never" she replied with a smile on her face.

"Promise?" I asked.

My phone rang and it was mom.

"Answer the call" Kate said.

I looked into her eyes and then I answered.

"Hello?" I said coldly

"Noah, we have to talk" Mom said.

"I'm busy right now, we will talk when I come back home" I replied.

"But-" Mom said but I hung up the phone.

Kate didn't seem happy about that.

"That was not the best solution" she commented.

"What do you mean?" I replied.

"You should go and have a talk with your mom right now, I already have to leave" Kate answered.

"Now? It's too early!" I commented.

She hugged me and said "Promise me you will go and talk with ma'am Amantha"

I was confused like how did you know about my mother's name but I answered "I promise"

"So I'm going to leave now" she said as she waved at me.

"Oh wait, do you mind telling me where you live?" I said while scratching my head.

She zoned out for seconds and then she answered " I live somewhere that is so close to you but in the same time it's so far to reach"

"What? How? I don't get it" I replied confusingly.

She rushed without answering me.

"KATE WAIT!" I shouted.

Well Kate ignored me at that time but I had to do what I promised Kate about so I went back home and there she was. She was sitting in front of the fireplace sipping coffee.

"I thought you were busy" mom said.

"Anyways, have a seat" she added.

I stepped towards the chair and had a seat.

"I'm listening" I said.

"After thinking about what happened earlier. I guess I was too harsh, so why don't you introduce your friend to us" she said that and then looked at me while smiling.

"What? Really?" I stood up and said with excitement.

She nodded and then I hugged her.

"Come on, call her and invite her!" mom said.

"Oh uhm, I will" I smiled and rushed to my room.

Oh my god, what am I going to do now? She has no phone and I also don't know where she lives. I got nothing to do except wait for her to come.

I was so excited to introduce her to my mother…
