Shiori only found out about the Empire's attack by chance.

"We're almost at the border..."

His journey since leaving the Pendant had consisted of repeated sighs and staring at the train floor.

“Ahh, okay. I failed my mission, but I can finally go home…”

He raised his head and repeated the sentence he had said many times before in a flat, emotionless tone. And then stagnant silence

enveloped him once again. All Shiori could hear was the clink of horse hooves as the horses pulled the carriage. He's on his way

on the same street and in the same vehicle as when he first came to Pendant. But this trip felt much sadder. And deep down, he knew why.

"Life in the castle was so busy..."

Sure, half of it is my fault, but... I'm going to miss it all. He stared out the window thinking about the fun days he had spent at the Castle.
