Chapter 20: Shadows of Retribution

Aftermath of Fight---- Manhattan, New York

Amidst the chaos and wreckage, Death Dealer emerged from the billowing smoke, his eyes fixed upon the battered figure of Blake Bishop. The sight of the defiant Street Fighter standing tall despite his injuries only fueled Death Dealer's determination to complete his deadly mission. A sinister smile played upon his lips as he stepped forward, ready to deliver the final blow.

Unbeknownst to Blake, help was on its way. The energy released by his Shinku Hadouken had caught the attention of not only the Avengers but also the ever-watchful eye of Director Fury. The S.H.I.E.L.D. director wasted no time, summoning Agent Coulson to his office for an urgent briefing.

In Avengers Tower, the team had already assembled, alerted by Jarvis to the extraordinary energy readings. Captain America swiftly devised a plan, selecting Tony Stark, Thor, Black Widow, and Vision to investigate the source of the energy. Recognizing the magnitude of the power displayed, they also reached out to Charles Xavier, seeking his guidance and insight.

Meanwhile, in the midst of their rare day off, the Defenders felt the tremor that shook New York. Danny Rand, known as Iron Fist, detected the all-too-familiar energy signature emanating from the location of the powerful blast. With a sense of urgency, he rose from his seat and informed his fellow Defenders that their friend Blake was in grave danger.

Elektra, her concern evident, wasted no time. Determined to aid Blake, she swiftly made her way out of the bar, her fellow Defenders following suit, ready to join the fray.

Back at the scene of the battle, Death Dealer's disbelief slowly transformed into a cold determination. His gaze locked onto Blake, his target, refusing to accept defeat. With a swift, decisive motion, he unleashed a flurry of deadly strikes, his intent to end Blake's life now more resolute than ever.

Blake, his senses heightened by the intensity of the fight, caught a glimpse of movement in the corner of his eye. He turned his head, his battered body tensing as he realized Death Dealer's intentions. Despite his exhaustion, a flicker of defiance burned within him.

As Death Dealer closed in, prepared to strike the final blow, a sudden rush of wind announced the arrival of the Defenders. Elektra led the charge, her fierce determination matching that of her fallen comrade. Daredevil, Jessica Jones, and Luke Cage followed close behind, their powers and skills at the ready.

In that moment, the battlefield shifted. The odds tipped in Blake's favor as the Defenders engaged Death Dealer, diverting his attention from their weary friend. The clash of fists and the crackle of energy reverberated through the air as the battle escalated.

Yet, the outcome remained uncertain, the fate of Blake still hanging in the balance. Would the combined might of the Defenders be enough to repel Death Dealer's relentless pursuit of vengeance? Would Blake be able to find the strength to withstand his opponent's onslaught and emerge victorious?
