After catching his breath, George walked back into his office to find his wife sitting in a chair, looking worried. He stretched out and sat down beside her as he said, "Well, your son has completely lost it. He knows everything but guess what he said...".

She cut him off and said with a conflicted look, "With or without him, we will do what needs to be done. I know how much you and your family have sacrificed to make this happen.".

George and his wife had a difficult relationship, but she never left his side, even when he was cruel to her. George nodded and exhaled sharply. Then she shyly asked, as if she had just given birth to the child herself and wanted her husband to name it: "What shall we call the child?". George turned red with embarrassment and said, "You name it. You are better at it than I am.". She smiled and for a split second, George's heart skipped a beat. He tried to hide it, but his rosy cheeks wouldn't let him. She then broke the tension and said, "We'll call her Reagan, just like your father.".He nodded and kissed her goodnight. As he left the office, he said in a seductive tone: "I'll be expecting you tonight." Margaret smiled.

He teleported into Reagan's room, Elisa, the employee in charge of the child, nearly peed herself when she woke up to see him standing by the cradle looking at the child. She tried to speak but he raised his hand in disapproval. He then ran his hand through Reagan's hair and said, "I have adopted this child. She is to be treated with the utmost respect.

He looked around the room and said, "Have a better room prepared for the ch... Reagan.". He thought to himself and smiled proud of his idea. He then said:" Let everyone know...her name is Reagan Stone and I have put her under my protection.".

Stone is the name given to the illegitimate child of a weak member of a great death mage's family. This was common among death mages, as only the strongest had the right to bear their father's name.

He laughed inwardly at the thought: "This is a believable and convenient lie. A respected life mage taking the child of a presumed illegitimate death mage into his care was a fairly common act of diplomacy that would win him sympathy among the death mages and kill all suspicions about the child.".
