Exhausted, Reagan sank deep into the water in a fetal position, closing her eyes as the water repaired the internal damage caused by resisting the girl's irresistible spell.
Back at home, the Emissary arrived and the meeting with George and his wife began.
George says in an eager tone: "It's been so long, my friend. How are things in your realm?" The emissary replies, "Things are very complex. The Laginis are already fighting to secure their position as heirs.". George frowned and said, "Klaus is worse off than I thought.". The envoy looked at his wife with a worried face and as he was about to say something, George interrupted him and said, "You can speak freely. My wife can hear.". The envoy looked at Margaret apologetically and continued, "His Majesty died yesterday. The heir has already entered the in-between to pay his last respects to the deceased and receive the final curse. The funeral will take place in a week, as is customary."
George exhaled sharply, leaned back in his chair, and asked: "Who will take the throne?".
The envoy replied: "His Highness Prince Dvrak has defeated his siblings.". George said angrily, "You mean he has already killed his competition. The emissary responded:" Those are the customs.".
George nodded.
Before he could say anything else, the Emissary said, "Your heir has been seen with the Prince on several occasions. Would you like to explain?". George frowned and said, "My son is his own mind. The envoy nodded emotionlessly and said, "I must report back to the place. I can't miss the inheritance ceremony." George rose and shook his hand. The Emissary did his duty and left.
George spoke: "What do you think? Margaret replied: "He is worried. Prince Dvrak is impulsive and rigid. He fears that all the changes made by Klaus will be challenged by his son when he comes to power. He was hoping that you might try to reach out to him through our son, whom he seems to have befriended. I have a bad feeling about this. ".
George replied:" Laginis and Winstors were cursed together. Dvrak must know about the curse by now. Charles must have won him over one way or another. Did he resist the mind reading?". She replied:" No, he didn't." George crossed his fingers and frowned:" That was a silent threat."
Margaret stood up in shock and said: "From who?" He replied in a murderous tone, "Our son... He is clearly prepared to do anything... even serve us to the Lagini boy if we go ahead with the plan". Tears welled up in her eyes and she wiped them away as she asked, "What is the plan?". George smiled at his brave wife and said, "We'll play along for now. Reagan is not strong enough. Speaking of her, is she back from her swim?". Margaret replied: "I'll go and see. Before she left the room she said: "Everything will be fine. Our son is getting his wit from you after all.". George smiled and went back to his work.
She then questioned the guards about Rea's whereabouts but was told by a maid that she had been left unguarded. Fearing George's wrath, she sent two of her best trackers to find her quickly.
Just as they were about to leave, Reagan returned, looking more tired than rested. Margaret scolded her for a while but stopped when she realised that Rea was on a cloud, completely lost in her thoughts. She sent her to her room after making her promise never to do that again. Rea just nodded and went to her room with the silliest of smiles.
