Chapter 6: Change: A new body

Rex didn't realize it before but he did now, his senses, they where so heightened that he could almost see the mana coming off of his class mates bodies, he could feel the mana far more clearly than he did before, it felt like a surge of energy, like water in a vase, not just the mana but his other sense as well, he could hear the heart beat of all his classmates, the rustling of the grasses as the breeze brushed over them, he could smell the cent of colone and hair spray coming off the girls.

I've never felt like this before Rex thought looking at his arms, it's like I'm in a whole new body

ok the teacher said next we'll go for an attack spell, let's start with the regular fire ball, Helen this time payed more attention to Rex as he looked at his hand, suddenly a fire ball appeared, he looked at the size of the others as made his a little bigger before throwing it. He's controlling the amount of mana poured into the spell like it's nothing, it took me three days to learn how to control my mana properly but he's doing it so easily

The glass went through all the natural elements, casting earth and water magic as well, while others made wind cutters Rex made a small tornado stream, while others made a water blade Rex made a water beam, at this point Helen was surprised o one has noticed it yet but someone did, Rita had been keeping an eye on the new student and she was dumbfounded that he was this talented.

I wonder, is he? no he wouldn't show this much power if he was, it's a general rule not to show our full power out in the open Rita thought

After that class went on as usual with Rex clinging on too Helen, it was getting annoying as it disturbed her focus but she let it go, most guys who talked to her usually wanted to ask her out, she also noticed the lustful stares she got from guys but when she looked at Rex, the look he gave her was like she was non existent, like he only acknowledged her existence when he needed her to explain stuff. It peeked her interest as unlike other guys she didn't know what was going through his head.

After the class school quickly came to an end and Helen was packing up when she noticed Rex sleeping, hmm? I guess he must be tired from using so much mana earlier, makes sense she thought but before she could wake him someone else did.

lifting his head to see who was poking his head he saw purple hair and red eyes staring at him, her beauty captivating all in class as she had approached the newcomer something that never happened before.

hey your Rex right? I'm Rita nice to meet you she said with a smile and her hand placed out but Rex just looked at her. an awkward moment ensued as Rex didn't respond or shake her hand, to the class he was stunned that the most beautiful and popular girl in they're class was talking to him but to Rita and Helen. when they looked at Rex they knew it wasn't the case

is he ignoring me? Rita thought

is he ignoring her? Helen thought

and they where right on the money, Rex's thoughts where as follows.

who is this again? wait she's that girl everybody talks too right? why is she talking to me, I didn't talk to her so she shouldn't talk to me right? I'll just go back to sleep till class is over.

Rex went back to resting his head and only then did the class understood what happened

umm hey it's rude to ignore others you know, I get that your shy but a simple nice to meet you would be nice, hey since class is over I was wondering.....

mid sentence Rex suddenly sprung up from his desk and looked at the clock behind the class, school is over already? he said

yh like 10minutes ago Rita said but again he ignored her existence,picked up his bag and walked up to Helen

thank you for helping me today, see you tomorrow he said and dashed out the class leaving everybody stunned

Without knowing it Rex had become the talk of the class while Rita was in disbelief that she was blatantly ignored like she didn't even exist, Helen on the other hand looked at his desk and noticed he forgot his text book and note book, what a strange guy she thought thinking of how he had just ignored Rita and thanked her before leaving.

Back with Rex, man I'm so dead, she said if I delayed then she would lock me outside the house he said as he rushed to the gate and sure enough Stephanie was nowhere to be found, damn it, I'm so sleeping outside tonight. On his way home he stopped at a public playground, looking at his hands he decided to test out his body to see if how much his body had changed, he went to the monkey bars and stood upside down on top do them with his two hands, something he had never done before, then he moved to one hand, then two fingers.

haha this is amazing he thought, he walks on his hands and jumped so high he jumped over the swing.

He wanted to test his new abilities more so he took a detour home. Running at full speed through the alley's he jumped high above a fence and did a front flip over some garbage bins, he jumped from wall to wall to scale a building, getting to the roof he jumped from roof tops to roof top, on one of them he slipped and fell but landed on his feet like a cat, this is amazing he said Ashe looked at himself again, I feel like I can do anything, after a few more runs he made his way back home.

This powers are really convenient, who knew I could trace Stephanie's smell back home, he wanted to go through the front door but decided against it, he didn't want to get scolded by Stephanie so he went to his room window he jumped up to his window that was high up and got in, he changed his uniform and wrapped them up taking them to do the laundry, he didn't want Becky to do them as he felt bad for making her do them for the past month, just when he stepped out the laundry room he met Stephanie.

what? how are you changed and coming out from your room to the laundry room.
