Chapter 8: Popular

A few days had past since he started going to school, without knowing it Rex had become popular, even do the only friend he talked to was Helen he was still the envy and admiration of many boys. Then there where times when they would play sports, Rex shocked everybody when he played soccer, he would get past four guys at once but always passed the ball to someone else to score, there was also basket ball, he could shoot the ball from half the court and his favourite move the ankle break made a fool of the top notch basketball players in his class.

This made him even more popular but not like the other popular kids, unlike them he really only stuck to one friend and that was Helen, this made others start to notice the silent beauty even more, hear long black hair and violet eyes, cute face and slender legs with her tin waist, medium sized butt and finally the icing on the cake, her huge melons. They where hard to miss as wearing a sweatshirt made it even more noticable. As for Rex no one could really talk to him much, if he wasn't with Helen then he would either be sleeping or go hide to play his video game, they weren't allowed phones or games in school so he would always hide to play whenever he was bored.

His popularity didn't go unnoticed as it bothered Rita a lot, not only did his aloof nature gather attention but it was at her expense, Rex's main reason for becoming popular was because he ignored her a lot, which was another reason he didn't have much friends, whenever she tried talking to him he would either ignore her or look at her then ignore her, she couldn't understand it.

(Why does he ignore me she thought, does he not like me like the others? but why? normal people fall for us so why is he not affected, or does he know my secret? no that's unlikely, so why) she couldn't think of a reason and without noticing it her little interest in him grew even more to the point she started hanging around him.

That day on they way back from school Rex finally remembered the notification on the system, he suddenly held Stephanie by the shoulder.

"what is it" she asked startled a little bit

"I just wanted you to know, I see you as my family now so no matter what he said with a serious look in his eyes, I'll always protect you and be there when you need me the most". This made Stephanie blush a little before she burst into laughter

"hahaha!! you seriously startled me for that? that's so cringe" she said as she laughed out loud.

"I guess it was" rex said looking clueless, "but regardless I ment what I said, if there's anything you need or anytime your in danger I'll come save you" he said.

This made her stop for a moment, yh sure Mr Romeo she said jokingly

Rex thought for a moment and then made two rules

1) Pride members will always tell the leader all they're problems

2) Pride members will always call they're leader for help whenever in trouble

After setting the pride rules they went home. When they got home food was ready while Becky was busy with her laptop, she looked focused and didn't noticed they had come back. Rex changed his clothes and immediately went to check up on Becky

hey misses Roselle, still working?

"yes rex just a few more minutes and I'll be done, when did you get back "

"a couple minutes ago "

"Ok if your hungry I made something for you two" she said, her eyes not leaving her laptop.

Rex wondered if the pride rules took time to work or it was only in the system, he thought when he got home everyone would talk to him about they're problems due to the rules.

(I guess I need to find it out the old fashion way) he thought, "uhh Ms Roselle is there anything that's bothering, you any issues your having troubles with?"

"Now that you mentioned it I do have one particular issue, all the others I can solve it myself, ever since my husband left us I can't seem to get another, all the guys who asked me out ghost me after the third date, I don't know if it's because I'm the CEO of a company or because of the money, I just can't figure it out, I gave up on dating three years ago but a woman has needs and urges you know, I just don't seem to have luck in the dating department, every day I feel more and more lonely to the point it hurts, and I also have urges that need to be satisfied....."

As she went on about her urgent need of a man rex was a bit perplexed, he knew she was rich but even rich people had problems, he just never expected it to be this.

while Rex was looking at the system notification the door bell was rang

"I'll get it" he said as he suddenly felt uncomfortable with Becky, when Rex left Becky she suddenly felt embarrassed, (why the hell did I tell him all that, now he'll think I'm some lonely old woman who's desperately looking for a man! )she screamed in her head.

When Rex opened the door he was a bit surprised

"hello Rex hope you didn't forget us we are..."

"I remember you both detectives pls come in."

detective Connor and his partner Stacy had come back once again to see Rex, Becky noticed they're presence and immediately went to say hello.

"so what brings you here" she asked

"well we just want to ask rex a few questions" Connor said

"ok "

"it's about your whereabouts after the incident with your family, you see we found some body parts in an alley ten blocks away from your house and the time of the murder lines up with the time you called"

"and?" Becky asked not liking where this was going

"well we did some DNA test and one of the blood samples matches your DNA, so we just wanted to know, where did you go after the incident."
