3. Ambush of the enemy
The two had left the base to go support the other bases that was being attacks.
Zane and Commander Isaac is inside the control room.
"Is there no any news from bases 582,583 and 584?" Ask the commander.
"There is still no news sir!"
The commander has a worried look.
But Zane is only standing still.... no word or movement being made from him for the last 28 minutes.
Seemingly, he is brain storming....
There are a chance that the other group was unable to protect the base..... But it seem unlikely to me that they all just lose like that.
There is also a chance that the alien use the new weapon ...or maybe they has more battleships than what we expected.
As Zane is thinking the staff member suddenly reacting.
With a horrified look he speak loudly "What the!"
Commander Isaac look at him and ask "What is it!?"
The staff member unable to speak. All he can do is show the panel toward the commander.
The comander eyes widen....
Zane also look at the panel.
It is krynek warship about the size of 1/4 the red planet they were on. Bringing with it another 50 Krynek battleship.
All the crew inside were stun lock at the sight.
Until Zane finally give his command.
"Everyone evacuate now. Transfer all the data from this base into the battleship. Do not let a single file left behind. We can't afford the Krynek to get our information"
"But sir!.... They is no way we able to transfer all the data to the battleship in time"
"I will be delaying them" Zane said before walking out from the control room.
Commander Isaac shout at Zane "Are you out of your mine!?.... There is way to many of them out there for you to distract alone"
Zane stop at his track "commander..... Sometimes taking a risk are necessary for the best outcome. It doesn't matter if I make it or not as long as you all manage to get out from here safely, It mean we did not lose"
"But"
"Prepare to leave immediately commander, you will be incharge of the rest of the battleship now"
Zane countinue walking to his ship.
Commander Isacc can't do anything but watch him walk away.
He clench his fist and strike the doorway.
"What your command, commander?"
"... Follow as what Mr Null said. If we manage to get out from here at the very least we didn't lose anything valuble."
Soon Zane spaceship takeoff.
His ship passes the atmosphere of the red planet and he look toward the direction of the enemy.
He is severely out number.
There is many.... too many. Buying a few minutes wouldn't cut it. I need to think of something that can give more times for my ally to escape.
Zane quickly goes through his spaceship weapon system.
Not much were there to work with but it better than nothing.
He construct a simple plan with the resources he have.
"Only 4 left. That should do. This plan would not buy that much times but definely diverted their attention toward me. "
He ready his body before begin initiate his plan.
*From the alien POV*
*in Krynek language*
Sir, there is a single spaceship that keep on circling on our way.
The commander look at the spaceship.
Send our troops to deal with it. This time we will defeat those human and pay back what they had done.
More then a dozen spaceship send to infiltrate Zane spaceship.
*Back to Zane POV*
"Here they come"
Zane push the release button.
Four dust boom were lunch to the empty space.
Later it began relasing all the minerals dust on to the serouding.
Four of the dust boom in enough to cover a total of 8 kilometers area.
A wall of smoke is made blocking the view of the Krynek.
Zane spaceship is infront of the wall.
"Come and follow me my dear alien"
Zane turn the ship around and into the smokr he goes.
All the other spaceship also follow him inside the smoke.
For a minutes nothing is happening. No sound or sign of any spaceship.
That went a sudden bright light can be seen inside the smoke. Follow by another one, another one and another one.
Then, a single spaceship amerges from the smoke heading straight toward the warship with full speed.
It was Zane battleship.
The warship leader order every single battleship to focus their atttack on the incoming spaceship.
Zane turn off the power of his spaceship shield and focusing it on the power of the spaceship rocket.
Zane spaceship is in the highest speed it can possibly be in.
What soon follow is, focus attack to Zane spaceship aiming to destroy it.
But.... With the spaceship being at the top of it speed and Zane unpararel ship maneuver, he manage to not get hit.
He is nearing the warship. The closer he got the more intense the shooting become.
Zane keep on holding to the starigh wheel waiting fir the right moment.
As he about half kilometer he proceed to turn on some sort of device in his spaceship. The front of his spaceship is glowing with purple light colour.
At the very moment his spaceship got hit with single attack.
The attack make his spaceship unstable but didn't destroy it completely and zane keep on countinue going to the warship until he reaches the warship outer shield.
But because of the device he turn on, the spaceship easily went through the warship shield.
At this point the spaceship Zane was on almost at it limit, So he make his way into the alien ship landing area.
As the spaceship enter the landing area Zane jump out from the ship and the spaceship crush into the landing area before exploded.
The landing area is on fire. Zane look around him. Then the Krynek inside start to attack him.
Zane pull out his sword and energy pistol before starting to kill all the Krynek coming his way.
"This plan is risky but I manages to get inside the warship"
There is way too many Krynek to kill.
Zane decide to run away. He goes to the door of the deck and enter it.
Narrowing the space on how many Krynek could attack him.
The mask he wearing start to scan the whole warship.
Analysing the area....

....
... Analysis complete.
The watch show the hologram of the warship.
"This warship is pretty big. It will definetly take some time to reach the control room"
The Krynek start shooting toward Zane.
He dodge it.
"This become more tidiest that what I would hope for. I guest it time to use that"
Zane put back his sword away and pull out a double berral looking gadget. The pistol he is holding change it shape.
He put the two piece together and create a new weapon. Double barrel shotgun.
He look at the watch and goes into the setting for his armor.
He change the sitting of his armor from normal mode into invis mode.
Thr krynek goes to the place they last saw him but went they arrive..... There is no one there.
So , they split up to search for the intruder.
Meanwhile, the staff member finish moving the base data and leaving the planet.
Commmander Isaac said while looking back at the enemy ship.
"I hope you make it out alive, special combatant unit, Null"
Back to Zane.
He is sneaking on the warship. The security of the warship are getting thigher, it hard for him to make a move without alerting other so he must operate carefully.
This warship maybe got the data about the new weapon. I need to make my way to the control room which in this case on the very top of the ship.
This will be hard even when I am invisible they still could detect me if they use infra red or other kind of detecting device.
Need to create a distraction inorder to create path.
Zane hugs the wall as a group of Krynek passes him.
He first goes back to the dock to plan some bomb.
The security is thight but not impossible to by pass.
After setting all the bomb he goes to a safer place and detonated the bomb.
He plan about 15 bombs in the dock.
The explosion create a chain affect that shake the entire warship.
The huge commotion distrace the Krynek attention and he had an opening.
The opening that was created is not long but enought for him to reach the control room.
He outside the control room waiting for someone to either come inside or come outside room.
After a few minutes of waiting someone leave the room allowing him to enter.
As soon as the door close a siren rang on the room.
In Krynek language*
"Unknown lifeform is detected! Unknkown lifefrom is detected!"
They had a sensor on the room. Zane think to himself.
The guard and staff member inside immediately on their guard.
Well there is no point of hiding anymore.
Zane aim his double barrel shotgun toward the guards.
"BAM!" "BAM!"
6 guards got kill on those two shot.
He reach out for his sword and stab the panel making the door unable to be open.
He get out from being invis and look at all the krynek inside.
The krynke sound the alarm and attack him.
Analise complete... Total of 106 Krynek alive
"No need to tell me that I could see. Focus on preparing to hack the main frame."
Understood.
Zane jump from being shot by the Krynek staff.
The Krynek guard attack him with melee weapon.
He dodge the spear attack and kick the Krynek on the stomach send him flying to the other guard.
His shotgun finish recharging.
He quickly aim at the krynek who had a range weapon killing it in instance.
"This will took a while to finish" Zane said before unleashing a blade from his shield generator.
10 minutes later all the krynek he can see had been kill.
He goes to the panel and start his hacking.
When he start hacking his suit system told there is 1 remaining Krynek alive.
"I already told you to focu-.....!? One more?"
At the very moment his suit system warning set off about attack coming from the top.
Zan jump back and create his sheild.
"Bammmmm" explosion took place right infront of him.
The sheild protect him from the explosion but not the impact because he was send flying to the other side of the room.
"Augh" Zane retract his shield.
Many foostep can be heard from behind the door.
"The reinforcement is here. I need to do this quick."
The krynek who attack him jump down to the room.
It had a missle luncher strap to it left arm and holding a long axe.
Zane stare down the krynek making a deduction that this is the comander of this warship.
Zane aim his shotgun on the krynek but unexpectedly the krynek has rush forward and it axe reach Zane gun.
Zane release his grip from the shotgun to dodge his hand being cut of.
His shotgun were split in two.
He rush toward the krynek with his shield blade but easily got block and here come the counter attack.
The Krynek swing his axe side way aiming to cut Zane in half.
Zane first plan to dodge the attack but made a last minutes decision to block it using his sheild.
And yes he make the right decision because the missle luncher also act as a booster to make a quicker attack move when turn the opposite way.
With a strong swing and boost from the missle launcher, Zane is send flying to the room wall.
"If I had try to dodge that I wouldn't make it in time"
He is slam to the wall and fall to the floor.
Dizziness from being slam to the wall fill his head.
The door of the room is slowy being open.
His suit system infrom him about his sword on the panel.
He quickly stand up and pull the sword out.
His leg is a bit wigglely but manage to stop as he regain his view.
On his left hand is the shield and on his right hand is his sword.
The krynek stand in ready positon to attack the human.
With his shield infront and sword behind he stare down the Krynek commander.
Who will be making the first move?

The krynek make his first move doing the same attack to Zane.
But this time Zane is prepare.
As the axe swing is coming Zane wait until the very last second of the missle about to boost the axe swing.
Zane retract his shield and jump side way on the air.
"Swinggggggg" The axe misses him by one centimeter as he could see his own reflexing on the axe while being in mid air.
The krynek is shock at what Zane just do.
Zane aim his sword toward the undefended Krynek and throw it in a straigh line.
The sword cut of the left hand of the krynek and pierce it chest. The Krynek is send flying to the control panel and die being penetrated to the control panel with Zane sword.
All of that happend in the time spend if 4 seconds.
Zane has no time to celebrate his victory on the fight.
He rush to take the krynek left arm and shot the missle to the glass above.
The door of the room open up and the reinforcement rush in but it too late.
The explosion create a hole on the roof and the air begin being suck out.
Zane jump to his sword to stop himself being suck out.
The suction become stronger and a few Krynek unable to hold on got throw out to the outer space.
Zane turn on his magnetic boot so he walk normally.
He had no time to hack in to seach the data, so he does the next best thing. Activating the self destruct on the warship.
Zane took out his sword from being in the control panel before waving his hand to the krynek holding themself on the sidw of the wall.
He turn off the magnetic boot and immediately being pull to the empty space.
He is alright because his suit is made to be able to breath in space.
"I need to get as far away from the warship before it explode"
He turn off his sword to use save his suit energy to his boots booster.
He slowly boosting away from the warship but wouldn't make it in time to reach outside the explosion zone.
About 15 seconds left before the explosion happend.
He focus all the energy on his sword to the sheild.
He create a sphere sheild with the remain energy he had left to protect his body. Zane braze for the impact.
3.....2.....1.
"BOOOOOOOOMMMMMMMMM"
The explosion ingoltm all the battleship including him.
The sheild protecting Zane from the explosion but slowly begun to crack.
The heat from the explosion slowly cooking him inside the suit.
He is sweating profusely. His eyes is close to not see the bright light of the explosion.
The shield is about to breakdown but the explosion graduatly faded away.
the sheild brakedown but Zane manage to survive the explosion.
His sheild generator is broken his suit is almost broke and he has a little of 12% energy left on his suit.
He send a help signal before turning off all the gadget he had to save energy for the suit.
If the suit die he also will die.
He is drifting through the empty space not making a single movement.
" I am not sure if I make out alive or not but I hope I will"
Zane speak to himself before passing out.

3 hour later, a rescue ship arrive to pick him up.
2% enery left.
The ship pull him inside.
Sun is waiting inside the ship.
He open Zane mask "Null!... Null! Wake up... check up now!"
"Yes sir"
After scanning his body the result comeout.
"He is still alive but very exhausted and his heart bet is low. His suit manage to keep him alive until we arrive and only have 1% energy left. If we had arrive a bit late he would had die"
"That a good new. Don't worry Null. You will life on"
The ship begun making it way to the bases 585.
