Medical Center

In a villa in Greenwich, Roan and Darren were sitting in the study while Lacey and another female agent went to the couple's room to conduct a simple search.

"Mr. Darren."

Roan took a sip of coffee and pointed at the clock beside the conference table.

"Your wife disappeared around 6.00 AM. It's already 2.00 PM. It's been eight hours, but the kidnappers haven't called for ransom…Are you sure that you and your wife have not offended anyone in your business?"

"Definitely not… I really don't know, Sir."

Darren sat on the sofa with a very ugly expression. He did not know whether it was because his wife was missing or because he was worried that he would not get much money after his wife died. After hearing Roan's question, he immediately explained,

"Sabrina handles most of the company's matters. I'm usually in charge of contacting those partners and maintaining relationships."

"Alright then."

Roan nodded. This was also a different kind of the female leading inside and male leading outside. Just as he was about to continue asking, Darren seemed to have suddenly thought of something. He slapped his thigh and said,

"By the way, Mr. Agent, Sabrina often goes to a women's medical center to maintain her health. Last night, when we last contacted each other on the phone, Sabrina said that she went to the medical center once during the day. I don't know..."

Without waiting for Darren to finish, Lacey walked into the study with a pink membership card and handed it to Roan.

"I found the VIP card for the medical center."

"Ok."

Roan took the card and nodded, warning Darren not to leave the villa for the time being. There were two agents outside the villa in charge of surveillance… After protecting him, he brought Lacey back to the SUV.

The pitch-black car sped along the road. Lacey looked at the pink membership card carefully. Seeing this, Roan was a little puzzled.

"What's wrong, Lacey? Is there something wrong with the membership card?"

"There's nothing wrong with the membership card, but the address on the membership card is wrong."

Lacey rubbed the membership card with her fingernails. She had a half-smile on her face as she turned to Roan and said, "The address on this membership card is New York's lower east side. I'm very familiar with that area. I don't remember there being any medical centers there."

"Hmm?"

"You mean Sabrina lied to Darren?""

"Who knows?"

Lacey took out her pistol and began to organize the magazine. She threw the membership card aside and said calmly,

"This couple is not as simple as you think."

...

Roan drove the SUV to the opposite side of the road where the membership card indicated. He turned around and saw a high-end cafe.

He turned to look at Lacey, only to see her smile. She held the membership card between her two fingers, and her tone was suddenly full of teasing.

"Come, little boy, I'll show you the world today."

"..."

Lacey was 32 years old this year, while Roan was only 25 years old. To a certain extent, he was indeed a little boy.

The two of them got out of the car, and Roan followed Lacey across the road into the cafe.

The cafe was not big. It was past 2.00 PM. Luo An looked around and saw only a few men and women drinking afternoon tea. However, before he could ask any questions, Lacey grabbed Roan's arm and pulled him into the cafe's kitchen.

"Don't talk. Leave it to me."

Lacey lowered her head and whispered something in his ear. The two of them continued to walk forward, and then on the way to the kitchen, a muscular black man sitting in front of a thick curtain suddenly appeared.

Upon seeing Roan and Lacey, the muscular black man stood up and wanted to ask something, but when he saw the pink membership card in Lacey's hands, he nodded and sat back down.

They lifted the thick curtain and saw a flight of stairs leading down. At the end of the stairs, they found a shining door. When they pushed open the door, decadent music filled with teasing and temptation entered their ears.

Roan looked around. Under the dazzling colorful lights, couples were sitting on the sofa in the hall and discussing how to use the toys. When they were happy, they walked to the rooms on both sides of the hall and began to sweat. At the same time, they used the toys they had just discussed on each other.

"Welcome to the new world."

Lacey raised her head and chuckled in Roan's ear. She held his arm and walked to the bar counter in the corner. She knocked on the table and shouted,

"Where's your boss?"

The waitress at the bar poured two glasses of wine for the two of them and pointed to a pink room in the corner of the hall.

"The shop owner is playing, so she doesn't have time."

Nodding, Lacey held Roan's arm and walked towards the pink room. She didn't knock on the door and directly barged in.

"Hey!"

"F*ck"

"What's wrong with you?"

The moment the door was opened, a few curses could be heard from inside the room. Lacey did not care. She grabbed a black leather whip from behind the door and whipped it around. She took out the golden FBI badge and showed it to everyone. She shouted,

"Boss, stay! Everyone else, get out!"

Roan was speechless.

Was she path so wild?

Seeing the golden FBI badge, the men and women in the pink room immediately stopped moving and turned to look at a naked middle-aged white woman with heavy makeup.

Seeing her wave her hand, several men and women hurriedly put on their clothes and ran out of the room. One of the white men was so anxious that he did not even put on his clothes and ran out of bed.

It was too f*cking spicy for the eyes.

Roan sighed. He did not know if it was his bad luck or the culture of America, but why did he always encounter these weird things today?

"FBI?"

The middle-aged Caucasian woman, Avila, sat up from the bed and lit a cigarette. She put it into her mouth and looked at Lacey and Roan quietly without wearing any clothes. She smiled and said, "What are you doing here today? How can I help you?"

Lacey did not waste any time. She took Sabrina's photo from Roan and showed it to Avila.

"She's a member here. Get me all the people who have served her before. I have something to ask them."

"Impossible, Ma'am."

Avila stood up from the bed and said as he put on his clothes, "This is a top-secret space built to give our customers the illusion of safety. We can't show you our customers' privacy. This is against our principles."

Hearing Avila's words, Lacey was not angry. She took out her phone and said, "Then I'll contact the New York Police Department and see if they'll deal with you."

"We have a legitimate business license. Everything here is in accordance with the regulations. If the FBI wanted to search this place, you can first go to the court to apply for a search warrant."

Avila puffed out a cigarette, touched Lacey's face, and smiled. "Why do you think my business is still safe and sound?"

"You…"

Lacey's face stiffened, and the smile on Avila's face grew wider. Just as she was about to continue speaking, Roan suddenly stretched out his hand and blocked the two of them. Seeing Avila looking at him, Roan took out his phone and said with a smile,

"My superior used to work at the Internal Revenue Service. Do you want to talk to him?"

"..."

Upon hearing this, Avila immediately fell silent. She then glared at Roan and Lacey before walking to the door and saying, "Give me ten minutes. I'll call those people out now."
